  • No videos for a year :-(

  • What is the function of the "xchip" command?

  • @alex76gr It adds remaining 48 MB of DDR SDRAM to system memory list and marks it as CHIP RAM. In the final solution it's done by a special ROM routine so all you have to do is to set required configuration in the OSD menu and do not have to bother with any command.

  • Like it!

  • Would love to see you do a video overview of the hardware. Nice job Mike.

  • great. when it will be available ?

  • ahh, sorry i watched whole vid, finally.

  • erm, so to be sure, it is 68000, not 020 with kick 3.1 and AGA, right?

  • OK, looks like I'll have to get a Replay board too...

Very nice job! Can't believe this is REAL, 20 years later! I can honestly say it's a classic gamer's dream come true. Keep it up!

  • Fantastic work!, can't wait to purchase an FPGA Arcade!

Oh... and Zool 2 AGA also runs on 68000 processor... A few of the first AGA games didn't make use of the 020 at all and ran just straight 68k code with more bitplanes larger sprites for some parrallax effects...

  • Looking very good !!

  • Incredible !

The best REAL classic hardware advancement since the minimig ! Great work !

  • Awesome work ! You are genius :)

  • very impressive!

  • awesome! what a insane amount of chip for the toy ;)

  • Nice work, does this AGA one also supports OCS/ECS like a all in one solution?

    Greetz : Gwimmlord & Trackah123

  • Yes, it's one integrated solution. The appropriate chipset is runtime selectable.

  • V-cool, now how about hooking it up to a (real) 030 and selling it to me :)

  • awesome work yaqube

  • Impressive! How accurate is the AGA compared to the real thing?

  • It's based on the ECS implementation so it should be very accurate.

  • @yaqubed

    So its A600(0) :-) AGA, HDD and fast 68 000 ....

Can 68020 FPU be soft or core emulated?

  • @yaqubed

Good, but can 020 be soft emulated so it can run OS 3.5/OS 3.9 or will we wait for 68k AROS? When will it be avail?

  • The newest TG68 core supports most features of the 020 CPU. It's still a work in progress but full 020 support can be implemented.

  • @yaqubed

Shame, then OS 3.1 is a limit and AROS 68k is the way. 020/030+FPU emulation

    would bring it higher.

  • @yaqubed

Good, OS 3.9 to go! WIll it have more RAM so it could run AROS 68k? 4-6MB is not too much these days ...

  • @vojinvidanovic79 It already has 59.5MB of RAM (50MB CHIP + 8MB FAST + 1.5MB SLOW) and supports 2 MB ROMs.

  • @yaqubed

Good. When we can expect such SuperMinimig, 020, AGA, ARM, AROS 68k?

Maybe "hard" larger then 1GB, two Kempstons and Minimig mouse and Crystal case with PSU as standard or deluxe pack? Can it be booted with AROS Kickstart replacement?

  • Wow, Impressive!! I thought MiniMig development was in stagnation....with 68020+ core when available it woudl be a killer modern A1200 AGA clone

  • That's actually not a 68020+ core. It's a 68000 core that's full 32bit addressing and faster than the 680EC20 in the 1200, with AGA support. :-)

  • @desiv1

Nice but there are some limits why 020/030 is needed to run all software, its not all about the spead. Like we joke Pentium 4 is 386 on steroids ;-)

  • NICE!!!
