I like how no one mentions Desean Jackson who is easily in the running for rookie of the year. He's been our best receiver all season and doesn't fumble punts which is all we need him to do.
you people think ahmad is great in the nfl u should have to c him play in high school. and yes i went to school with ahmad bradshaw. his high school football team was the graham g-men in bluefield va. coach under the late glenn carlock.
Giants fan here. One thing this guy doesn't consider though is that the Giants didn't just play rookies to play them. The rookies had to contribute due to injuries or they were just better players than the experienced depth players.
1. Aaron Ross is better than RW McQuarters, and Corey Webster was struggling. Ross earned his playing time.
2. Steve Smith is better than David Tyree and Sincorice Moss, plus he took over as the 3rd option when Shockey was Injury Reserved.
3. Jay Alford saw playing time because he was part of the D-line rotation and also the quickest DT. He was strictly depth.
4. Zak DeOssie was the snapper on punts due to the Long Snapper being IR'd and played special teams defense.
5. Kevin Boss was the depth player behind Shockey. Shockey's injury gave him playing time.
6. Adam Koets is a LT. He was # 3 behind Guy Whimper and saw no playing time. The Giants were relatively healthy along the Offensive line and didn't need to play this rookie.
7. Ahmad Bradshaw saw a little playing time during the season, but when Derrick Ward got Injured Reserved, Brashaw got a chance to show the coaches he can play better than the #3 RB, Rueben Droughns.
Andy Reid should not change his ways to copy another team's success. He won't be successful doing things someone else's way. Rookies will get play when they are they can outplay the experienced veterans. Don't just toss a rookie in there to see what happens.
interesting and accurate perspective, but maybe the eagles should give their draft picks to someone with down syndrome, im sure they would do a better job.
wth is rong wit u u make sum stupid comments sum times so basically just play rookies instead of the experienced. listen we r not the giants we r the eagles we do it our style not the giants style.

The reason it worked for the Giants is because they had a great draft this year. The talent scouts did an awesome job.

its better to use fresh young players with the guidance of veterans. too much of one only leads to disaster.
