I just remembered that I have this song on an old Halloween CD or maybe even cassette tape, along with other spooky/scary/supernatural tunes. And this was the best music on that compilation.
"Voodoo, Voodoo" should have been released in 1958, a year which saw the release of tunes such as "The Blob," "Frankenstein's Den," "The Purple People Eater," "Zombie," and "The Monster."
I couldn't find a definite answer on that. The song was recorded in '58, but only released as a B-side in '61. Though Phil produced the A-side, there was no producer's credit on the B-side.
Phil did begin producing in '58 so it's still possible. If anyone knows better, let us know.
I can kick myself still for not attending her memorial service in NY when I had the chance. I love her voice and this is my fav song of hers. RIP Laverne.
you welcome. this is a really well put together video. its one of the best I have seen for an artist on youtube. Its cute, clever and thought out and I really like it. you should make more.

@hebneh I had it on Elvira's haunted hits! Yes, there was a close second though, me thinks it was the 4th track.
