The animorphs should have killed David. It shows that they are still kids and do not understand that there are things worse than death. Trapping someone as a rat is one of them. Also, what if that kid's family had been controllers and suspected that someone was using thought speak. David could have ratted them all out to the yeerks.
I'm not saying David was justified (he obviously wasnt) but if Saddlers heart had stopped, he was technically dead.. So David technically didn't "kill" him.
Speaking of never fully committing, the Animorphs decide at several points to try to expose the Yeerk invasion (which could be done very easily between Ax, the Chee, and the Hork-Bajir) but they always quickly discard that idea. The Animorphs are damn lucky that no Controller (and if nothing else, Tom is there and sees) finds anything suspicious about this 'miracle.' This is why Cassie is so terrifying: her attempts at being kind are sometimes absolutely horrifying. David is in no way better off
@duffywoody There is only one trilogy in the Animorphs series, & that is the "Sixth Animorph Trilogy." This is the first time I've ever heard of it being referred to as the "David Trilogy."
If rather you are referring to what I said about Tobias, I was speaking of the events in the second Megamorphs book.

Great Review. Silly Ending. I'm looking forward to the Post-Trilogy Follow-Up

Man, that's dark on so many levels. Superheroes tend to go to some pretty unpleasant lengths to avoid killing, but there has to be a limit.

Were you channeling Dr Insano for a minute there?

David's act: more evil than Tobias condeming an innocent sentient species to death?
Eh, I'm willing to believe it.
This was an excellent recount of the Sixth Animorph Trilogy. Your maniacal laugh was good too, but your mic wasn't set to recieve something that high.
