I agree that the first two seasons of Digimon are the best, by a mile. However, I do like the second one more because of Hikari. She's more likable when she's older. In the first one, I felt she was a tad bit whiny... However, she made up for it in Digimon 2. Hikari, you rock!

I didn´t consider hikari whiny at all in the first season. But she is a good character in the second, and of course, shes in it since the beginning and probably gets more time to create a prescence. I like that she was pretty aware of someone having a crush on her, and had a sense of humour. That aside, this is my least liked season for brushing the season one heroes aside. Though the next two series had strong starts and weak finishes while this one got better towards the end.

I always hated Hikari in both series, in the first one she was a crybaby, in the second one she became a bit of a bitch.

Actually, the only digi girls I've ever liked are Sora, Mimi and Ruki, Sora and Ruki probably because of their tomboyish personalities and Mimi because she's so cute at first and then becomes really cool.

Miyako and Izumi for me are just so-so.

And Yoshino is retarded.

Still, 02 is my favourite season.

Yup, that's the guy. I believe the song was "Burning Overdrive". He also sang the opening themes for all five seasons of Digimon. "Target" and "Butterfly" (which is the opening theme for Digimon Adventure) are by far my favorites. :)

@ChelseaVL I agree with you... the first version i watch is japanese in 2005... then, in 2010, i started searching for the digimon series. all i can see is the english version. i felt like, " I hate you english version!! bring back the songs and the characters!!!! " . now, i can enjoy the japanese version..i <3 hikari but not kari. kari in my language means curry.hahaha. :) hikari's voice in english version is absolutely sucks!!!! :P

In the end, the lack of a real plot line kills pokemon. That's why it sucks like shit.

I agree but pokemon did have aplot in its first season that followed shonen conventions. But then it just stagnated. That first season and like the first episode of the second had real plot. Ash got stronger, lost, learned ect. But then instead of keeping going they just started resetting.
