The way this band mixes a 50's theme in with their modern day music is so phenomenal. I don't care if people share it or hide it, its fucking fantastic regardless.
@CraterMuffin its just one producer, hes an underground hip hop producer and everything he touches turns to gold.. if im not mistaken he just ran the vocal track through whatever filter he needed to
As much as I love Blockhead's musical approach, the vocoding on this song simply made me stay away from it. Disappointing too since the instrumentals on this is on par whith the rest of the album.
Wow! This track is amazing. The music scene has been my favourite track and animated video for a while, Now this will be on constantly...think i need the album and everything else he has done
lets start over again how i must of been out of my mind to set you free i must of been blind but now i see its you that i need open the door walk on in darling lets start all over again open the door walk on in darling lets start all over again, start over again
four walls they surround me loneliness has found me im waiting for you to return open the door walk right on in darling lets start all over again open the door walk right on in, darling lets start all over again
This is like a historical overview of music from the past 60 years. Starts at classical, jumps to modern hip-hop with the vocoder, then it has that psychedelic Mo-Town vocal at 3:42 that's like the 60's, then it has an 80's shred guitar solo. All with this hypnotic beat and bass under it. Awesome.
@Padooshka It's actually a vocorder (no Autotune) and , from what I understand, he did it on purpose to poke fun at all the auto tune shit going on right now.
@PKcarnage Why? I love listening to unknown music so I can share it. I don't get why people feel special because they listen to underground... like they are happy to know something someone else doesn't. Doesn't make sense. Superiority complex at its finest.

Eddie Holman - Four Walls is the sample. Fucking amazing track.
Blockhead has a great blog where he (aside from posting some fucking hilarious articles) often posts mixes and some of the original samples hes used.

on the contrary, i think the vocoding worked quite nicely.
I think blockhead should just use whatever he feels is the best for expressing the song
