@xANGELA69, You don't have to start that way, but it can make for a better picture. Most of my drawing videos are done with little to no underdrawing, but that is because I want to draw the picture quickly for the video. This is also why I use a Sharpie, as in this video. For a more slick and professional drawing I would take the time to sketch things out first and use a different tool to ink it with. But, the nice thing about art is there are many ways to accomplish the same results. Thanks.

@Diego1999ist, For drawing videos I will start out with a Sharpie because it is quicker and shows up better on video. If I were drawing something for more professional work, I would pencil it out first, as well as probably use a different inking instrument.

@MattHawes oh. well, I would use a sharpie in shading for inking after penciling, if i cant, i use a brush tip pen or a fine tip pencil. I.E. : B for brush tip, 0.5 or 0.8 for fine tip. maybe you can ink things like that. :)
