  • En halv liter*

  • What's the price of this?

  • i gotta stop watching ration videos

  • i stil dont get were you are suposed to get hot water from ?????

  • @MrPlaystationboy obviously you take water, boil it then add it.

  • Chewing gum in a Ration ?

  • This makes me hungry..then I think of having to eat this for a week straight.. and I lose all appetite again..

  • wtf? C. GUM??? whattta fucka it doing there?

  • @fvo911 it's good for your mouth :)

  • a tip if you use cold water it will taste less like glue and more like serial

  • what do the chlorine tablets do

  • @CAILLOUX65 They purify water. For example; take water from a stream or a river and then put the tablets in the water and after a couple of minutes you have clean drinking water. (boiling the water is also recommended)

  • @NorthlandShooter its 30 min on the klorin tables

  • I've been eating a lot of this stuff, both in the military and at hunting in the mountains! Greetings from Norway! :-)

  • Can you do some videos in swedish?

  • @mrAksel98 No, I don't think I will be making any videos in Swedish.

  • I really gotta stop watching ration videos at night...makes me hungry.

Anyways pretty interesting rations I must say. I kinda wanna try one. :)

  • @D33P7hr0a72 Well, They are decent the first few times you eat them. I probably have a hundred rations laying around. Saving for some catastrophe I guess.

  • like the american mountian house meals

  • Haven't tried the Army rations yet, but the orange REAL turmat ("hiking food") dried food packs that are sold in civilian hiking stores are awesome.

  • Where Canou buy them. i want to try An mre ( meal ready to eat ) but these look even better

  • Ser lækkert ud, anderledes end her i Danmark.

  • Chilliconcarne er EPIC!! mmmmmmm

  • How many calories per day?

This ration kind of reminds me of the American "Ration, Cold Weather" / "Meal, Cold Weather".

  • Total Calories of all 3 parts of the pack (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) comes to about 15000 Kj calories since they are roughly 5000 Kj each.

  • It's either 3.5 KCAL regular, 5.0KCAL "Run over a mountain goddammit", and the 8.0KCAL "hunter rations" for Special forces.

The chlorine tablet is mostly for desinfecting your drinking cantine.

Also, DO NOT USE HOT WATER WITH BREAKFAST! You will get sick and puke.

  • @wardenphil they come in 3800 cal and 5000 cal variations

  • the chocolate bar is insanely good!!!

and gives LOADS of energy :D

    love it!

  • Nothing taste's as good as FR when you are in the field ;)

    Norwegian Soldier--

  • Ingenting smaker bedre enn FR når du er i felten =D

  • best shit ever!!! Royal thai taste shit though: P all u brothres in the swedisharmedforces can rely to that^^

  • Those thing taste so bad!

  • i hope that its not Royal Thai lol! :)

  • Royal Thai is terrible :@

  • Sounds cool man, i just bought 6 cases of mres at a gun show for 35$ a case!

  • Just curious why all the packaging seems to be in English? NATO?

  • They're actually in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, English and Finnish all on the packaging. I guess since they're made in Norway, they'll want to sell them to their neighburing countries. That would be my guess atleast.

  • @NorthlandShooter

These field rations a'int used in denmark ;)

our field rations are more or less a cartboard boxfilled with some diffrent things (diffrent from the norwegian one)

  • Thanks for sharing that, I wasn't sure if Denmark used these or not. Doesn't the cardboard get wet very easily in the field btw?

  • @NorthlandShooter

Well, it's some quite thick, but yes it does.

But everything inside is ofc. in plastic/cans etc.

and if it's in your backpack then it shouldnt get that wet really.

but i can surely say; the taste is really diffrent from the norwegian to the danish.

  • Indeed, these packages are used by all Nato forces.

  • It taste like shit after 2 weeks in the snow...

  • the norwegian ones are sold in sports-stores because they`re so good ^^, (costs about the same as a good dinner on a restaurant I think)

I tasted the american ones and they tasted like a tree XD (and at the other end it came out like 2by4 XD )

  • @lazygamerz FR tastes like shit, well most of them. The breakfeast one in this video sucks. most of the soldiers in my platoon ate other stuff instead. However some of the packages are good, but usually you get the shitty ones.

  • @lazygamerz Have you ever had to live on those field rations? Trust me, you tire of them quickly.

  • I love the fish fish soup! in the dinner pack!

And thoose energy drinks kept me trough the winter when I served in the Norwegian airforce ;)

  • the little coffee looks nice columbian. does it come with a spoon? that seems inconvenient if i had to open the dinner pack or something to get a spoon

  • i always wondered what the people in the military ate

  • Norwegian military food (Y)

Got some of these from my brother when he was a MP 6 years ago, and they haven't changed...

I also got some american rations when he got back from service in KFOR, and they tastet like cardboard...:P

  • Not to brag, but I've heard that the Norwegian rations are regarded by many as some of the best in the world... I'm sure glad that we have them in the Swedish Armed Forces.

  • I really enjoyed these videos NorthlandShooter. I never got to join the army cus of medical problems, so this is cool to watch.

  • That's unfortunate that you were unable to join the army, thank you for your kind words though... =)

  • you're lucky

  • stay away from the thai thing in the rasions ;)

  • Remember that ration, was like the best dinner ever when you had went some days with litle food and sleep.

  • What did you train on during cold respnse 2009?

  • We trained Recon, patroling, armed combat, securing, guarding and monitoring areas and buildings. We aslo had dog handlers with us that we used during those patrols and the dogs were quite good at letting us know when someone was aproaching.

  • are you in the military?

  • I'm in the equivalent to something the U.S.'s National Guard, so yes. =)

  • oh okay cool. so you are a "weekend warrior".

  • Something like that, yes.

  • *eat

  • Sounds fun! Though I guess it will be challinging without enough sleep.

  • I think one of the guys with me worked out that we sleept a total of about 30 hours that week. =/

  • Eeeew. Okay, I would that.
