  • I brought this on 1/27/2012 the price is 599.00 not 700 at the att store. The 4g is great. Very nice screen and fast. I love it.

  • Is it April already? coz I am ugly -.-'

  • you called me beautiful. <3

  • Only way you'll hit the buttons is if ur holding it upside down

  • They should bring this out in the Netherlands

  • you are the most annoying reviewer out there!

  • Yay! I'm beautiful!

  • AT&T's 4g LTE network is up and running. There are only 5 markets right now and they plan to have 15 by the end of this year.

  • 1:35 ....... damn beautiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii fulllllll colorsssssssssssss .......thumbs up if i am right.... i can't see the pixels at all... so clear.... crystal clear

  • I "Liked" this video simply because New Found Glory were on your music player :D

  • Love my flyer

  • from the reviews i've seen... the flyer seems faster... hm... haven't had a tablet yet, but i will probably get the jetstream or flyer... but it's odd that the flyer seems faster

  • @Hummerfreak7728 not all devices run equally. They're like cars. Sometimes you get a bad apple (no pun intended). My iPhone 4 has been laggy as hell since the get-go whereas my HTC Desire S (an expected 'laggy' performer) because it's Android ooo, was great. The differences i've seen on my friends 4S is quite minimal, I don't care what marketing gimmicks Apple throw at us, it's not as major as they say it is. Only the fanboys will use lame excuses lol. They're bandwagoners. I like all platforms

  • @TheMobileHotspot ooh wow finally someone who isn't hatin' someone else. I know they don't run equally :p but I just find it odd that the Flyer's 1.5ghz single core appeared faster than Jetstream's dual core... i could be wrong but idk... if it's one of those iphone-desire s situations, where the expected slower device is actually faster... i guess i'll have to go with the flyer.. since it's also pretty compact.

  • @TheMobileHotspot I like the Jetstreams formfactor and always like HTC's known high end builds and quality materials, but, the Flyer does seem to be a bit quicker. However it's running Gingerbread if i'm not mistaken. WHY?!?, i don't know. but for the purpose of comparing speed of the OS itself on a tablet form, the smartphone centric OS on the Flyer wins at least in this instant. I saw another video that showed the Jetstream faster. Not sure, maybe John downloaded some x-rated movies. JK! lol

  • I miss the russian like accents :(

  • his voice makes me want to kill myself

  • where can I get one in a hurry? (To Australia)

  • what are u all talking about ? it has flash + android 3.0 ( the most laggy in homescreen version) thats why it laggs and 2nd android itself sucks . htc sense made it beatiful ...

  • what is LTE tablet means ?

  • @aboulmorr This is the first tablet to support 4G internet speeds, which are superior over 3G, which is what other crappy tablets like the iPad 2 have.

  • 850 wow...

  • $475 without a contract

  • I have an Asus Transformer and its way better for the price of 400 bucks. Plus the best thing about it the OS doesn't look like crap! HTC stop doing the stupid custom OS it not for tablets. Plus it makes android honeycomb look like they put a clown suite on it.

  • Jetstream or Jetlag?

  • @MegaVithuran

    JetFailure

  • You didn't eve use the stylus!! IDIOT!!

  • wtf 850$

  • seriously? why would i pay 700 for a CONTRACT when everything else is 500 and less?

the specs arent even that great i dont understand why its so expensive

  • Come on htc, where is the innovation?? This looks like sht

  • can you vs it's brother flyer?

  • Xomm FTW! and rooted with overclock set to 1.5ghz, plus the Tiamat Rom 2.2.1 Moray = GREATNESS!

  • Thnx 4 Calling me Beautiful.. God bless u

  • first ever htc device that looks so cheaply made, and its also the most expensive one, not to self DON'T BUY

  • I'll wait for the Toshiba Excite (At200)

  • XOOM FTW!!

  • its damn fat!!! after seeing galaxy tab 10.1 , 8.9 , 7.7 and Toshiba´s one. this one if fat ugly chunky bastard

  • @crumcon You're sick

  • best voice on phone arena .

  • very LAGGGY

  • MuddyInc is right. You can't review this tablet without mentioning the active digitizer and handwriting recognition. Well I guess you can because you obviously did, but it is like reviewing an iPad 2 without acknowledging the front facing camera. Hopefully this is addressed in the written review.

  • Please talk about HTC scribe! Your missing the point. Great for students, artists, notetakers!

  • I think it looks really nice. Futuristic look (read: tron) is not always good.

  • 2 Days battery use?! thats amazing

  • I dont think it lags...i think its just less responsive to touch while it laying down and you are not holding it in your hand

  • @MystroVision when it comes to android most people want everything. Its never enough. They point out slight lag but over look all the things a device is doing. Apple is lucky their customers are happy not having freedom to do what they want when they want to. Matter fact steve jobs can tell them u dont need it an they will believe anything. Android customrrs r so used to havin everything & freedom that they notice every little imperfection & 4get the other benefits.

  • @zeretmusicent i agree with you 100% I love android but guess since its not Apple they are not allowed to have any flaws at all smh

  • @MystroVision yes I find it funny that apple products have a lot of limitations and some bugs but most people seem to not point the negatives out when it comes to apple because they love the company so much. so most of the negatives get overlooked. every operating system has its flaws. even apple products r far from perfect

  • Processor speed does not matter if your software is not optimized, reminds me of the HTC Sensation

  • I happen to like HTC's Sense UI. It always added a good amount of usability to android phones. At first glance the widgets and other parts of Sense seem to help Honeycomb which I haven't been crazy about. The problem is that it is too much. For something that packs a 1.5 dual core processor this thing lags a lot. I think I'll wait to get myself a tablet a little longer.

  • @MartialBob get the Asus eee pad transformer it has no lag. and yes all the widgets are too much on htc device s but they dont have to be used unless u want them

  • Haha someones in a good mood

  • The screen looks amazing

  • Watching this review with htc flyer. What should i do now?

  • I still believe that the Transformer is the smoothest honeycomb experience. I think the galaxy tab was pretty much the same (or maybe even a bit more smooth) but since the samsung skin on there, it has become a bit laggy too.

  • what about gaming ,im really expecting to see that ,and can u make compare videos !!!

  • Impressed by the great hardware and software design, not impressed by speed and smoothness (this should be a 1.5 GHz dual core? Disappointing).

I'm afraid I'd prefer almost every other Honeycomb tablet, especially if I consider the price.

Tip for HTC: Just bring out a 16GB model with Wifi only, worse camera and built quality and proper hardware acceleration for not more than $399!

  • Haa Apple will sue this too !

  • @sitadriver this is nothing like an ipad. U can do 300% more on a honeycomb tablet than an ipad1 or 2

  • @zeretmusicent i Agree !

  • Bad price

  • Yay! I'm Beautiful!

  • L A G G Y

  • @MegaAbzzzzz thats cus he had a live wall paper installed. Thats why it was a lil laggy on the home screen. Kinda dumb doing a review with a live wall paper & widgets running.

  • @zeretmusicent it has a fucking 1.5 dual core... even apples low hardware 1.0 dual core can handle that, now dont say shitty stuff.

  • @MegaAbzzzzz Ghz means nothing when it comes to a cpu

  • @ja195 do tell? what means more than Ghz? that makes your games fps so high in mobile gaming?

  • @ja195 What do you mean, thats what the CPU is for, determining the speed of the device. and how fast it goes is determined by the clock speed (measured in Hertz, MegaHertz, GigaHertz ect.) I dont think you know what you are talking about.

  • @zeretmusicent does ipads have widgets and wall paper running at the same time on 7 screens??? NOPE no widgets

  • @MegaAbzzzzz Hey, were you commenting on smartphoneenvy 3 hours ago? :D

  • @MegaAbzzzzz Keep in mind that HTC packs in a lot of visuals with their Sense, hence some unwanted lag. With less 3D effects itll be a screamer.

  • @TheMobileHotspot well, im not an apple fanboy, but iPad was very very smooth compared to this... and they enhanced the graphics card too.. so you can jailbreak it and see how it runs :D With 3d or without 3d background, iPad is an iPad.

  • @MegaAbzzzzz I got an iPad 2. There's no doubt in my mind that this will be a bit more stuttery compared to my iPad. The simple answer is the UI in my opinion. It's too bloated. iOS is simple and efficient. However it lacks the Android widgets that make everything more productive. I had a Xoom but that was a horrible tablet to get. I should've waited for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 but I got an iPad before it came out so that was that.. I like the HTC Jetstream, but the stutters will bug me a bit though

  • @TheMobileHotspot iPad 2 ftw, i have one too. Apple, is apple.

It doesnt matter that HTC's hardware has been clocked more..

Apple still fucks them in every way..

Imagine if apple products were as fat as HTC smartphones..

iPhone would have be dual-core from 2009

    + you have 500 000 apps

    + Faster

    + Better design

  • @MegaAbzzzzz well not EVERY way but there are pros and cons to iOS and Android. The app count I found to be quite pointless for me. The apps I use are available on both platforms and run equally as well on my iPad 2, HTC Desire S, GS2 and iPhone 4. They've all done quite well for me.

It's okay if you're Pro Apple though, I'm not going to hate you =D. There are many people who love Android and many who love iOS. Hell, their the two top dogs right now in the game so there's a lot to like.

  • @TheMobileHotspot agreed, and i know what is the problem for HTC

they release too many smartphones in one year,

if they release a phone or max 2 phones per year, they might get better than apple.

I actually have the HTC Desire HD... a great phone, but im a gamer and that phone lags in games.

I think that they should wait and they always hurry releasing new phones.

  • @MegaAbzzzzz apple iphone 4 was not dual core it was single core iphone 4s however was dual core, released 2011

  • You not going to mention the HTC Scribe digital pen? It's one of the reasons the tablet is "over" priced, it has more functionality than the average.

Also no one uses the live wallpaper when performance is an issue. It's a nice gimmick to show off, but you'll soon take it off when using it every day (just like you did to complete the review, but fail to mention things sped up)

  • Beautiful People? You kinda sound like Pedo Bear saying that...

  • i get a jetstream from my pants in the toilet..

  • Best tablet, but worst price...

  • Link to the background?

  • reviewers need to always remove widgets and live wall papers in reviews unless you are reviewing the available widgets. i know when i add live wall papers and widgets to my home screen and run 6 programs in the background that my device may have a little lag when scrolling,, i would rather have the option of those feature and have a slight lag than to have a plain icon ipad type of experience. that's boring. however reviews should be done without AND with features running to be FAIR

  • i dont think its fair that a lot of these reviewer love to have LIVE WALL papers active on the android tablets when they are doing a product run thru but they love to talk about the tablet havent a slight lag on the hm screen. thats not fair thats just like running 6 programs in the background then complain about the performance of a device. unless there is a comparison: live wall paper vs regular wall paper then the live wall paper shouldnt be used in a review..also widgets slow things down too

  • where did niko go?

  • $700 on contract, my god!

  • Comment removed

  • nice tablet i love htc products....but the price is crazy
