I'm shocked that girl wasn't beaten to a pulp after screaming, "MAKE SOME FUCKING NOISE"
I know if it had been me next to her? I would have knocked her sober. But seriously...This song is so fucking beautiful, and you can hear him get more and more quiet...poor Trent! I want to give him a hug! :(
Such a beautiful and deep song ruined by drunks. The crowd chanting the words with him was great, but then you have the jackasses shouting during the instrumental break about making noise and shit. . .just. . .damn.
"The evening's most compelling moment should have been Reznor alone behind a keyboard playing his aching torch song, Hurt. Yet after a punter audibly inquired about Reznor's post-show activities midway through the intensely personal track, Reznor abruptly stopped playing.
"Am I supposed to pretend I can't hear an arsehole yelling at me?" he sneered. "Let's move on," he said, to a chorus of boos, as he terminated the track and lurched into The Hand That Feeds."
I went to the show the next night at the same venue... but heard a bit about this one...It's not the screaming that annoyed him. When you are there it doesn't sound that bad. That's just normal audience screaming, when you're there it's drowned out by the music. It's just because the phone was right in the crowd.
God damn I hate people. I don't understand why people go to concerts just to talk as loud as they can over the top of the music to their friends. Stop screaming assholes, the music is loud for a reason, don't yell over it. And put your fucken' camera phone away.
This is beyond weak. Trent Reznor does not deserve this kind of ill treatment. As a budding fan of NIN to see this kind of sickening behaviour it just stuns me to believe that such dickheads even exist. And hurt is such a bitter-sweet yet beautiful song, and those poofs ruin it. How disgusting.
ASsmunkies who scream their heads off ALWAYS ruin songs at concerts for me. I mean, are they that desperate to feel special for a fraction of a second? It's pathetic. They are pathetic and they need to show some respect not just for the artist but for the fans.
That was pathetic. But I'm surprise Trent still played another song. I guess he thought you can't let a few bad apples ruin it for the others. I swear if I shelled out $80 for a ticket and some loser is screaming and calling him names, I'll probably sock him.
im so sad to be an australian at the moment, I'm 14 and i cried for days when i found out that NIN were only doing overage gigs in Melbourne and after learning about what a bunch of idiots did to poor trent while he was singing MY FAVOURITE NIN SONG EVER im so scared they wont come back to Australia which would just be so awful
WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD WASTE THAT MUCH MONEY JUST SO THEY COULD BE ASSHOLES! those are some rude messed up in the head people. By the way hurt kicks ass.
I agree Trent was well within his rights to leave, actually I was surprised to see him back for 'the hand that feeds' although it was a tremendously apt response, however I feel he could have handled the situation a little better, bear in mind that this was the first show announced of the 3 in Melbourne and was made up of the most dedicated fans who got the tickets immediately, to be honest I felt a little short changed by the whole experience.
BTW I'm Irish and have never experienced anything like this level of disrespect at home; seriously, why would you pay $80 or whatever to see a band and then start shouting at the singer and calling him a faggot; Australians puzzle me at times
Dude, your vid info commentary is worded really wrong. Not only was there excessive shouting during the parts he wasnt singing, but some assholes at the bar kept heckling him and calling him faggot, and he stood there and listened to it during his trademark song long enough. he had every right to stop the song.
so fukin piss poor by those bogans. its really sad to see this, i mean he is singing about his pain and they can not even pay attention? I feel ashamed at being australian for a moment
couldn't anyone just yell "lets beat em up!"
