EF-S lenses collected for some time. 7d has great features, and outstanding quality, and for me - the best ergonomics. Been using 450d with L lenses before, and that combo is also able to deliver money & awe worth pics. Once again - whole argument was pointless. Use your cameras, not your mouth/keyboard...

The whole argument seems pointless... I like my 18mpx so that sometimes I can use only a small part of the photo without drastic quality loss. Why 5d & 5dmkII are used more by professionals ? Because of the full frame sensor format which enables focal lenghts to remain the same, as well as it means that you can use cinematic/video lenses. Cropped sensor of any camera disables both. Why else 7d? Cause I dont need full frame yet :) so there is no need to pay xtra for just that and inability to use

The 7D is amazing for film with coloring and focus and it shoots 1920 over 1080i. And the 7D is amazing for photography with 18 fucking megapixels. So instead of buying 2 cameras to do 2 different things, he was smart and bought something that does both, amazingly...It also looks very good and professional.

All of the Canon midrange DSLRs have 18 MPs, but that's simply for printing very large prints. Hell, the Nikon D700 has 12 MP and it's one of the best Full Framed cameras on the market. But the 7D is a great camera, and it is good for filming.

@MrFloppywaffles Do your homework, lots of film makers are using 5D's and 7D's on projects. The TV series "House" used the 5D to shoot an episode. George Lucas is using it in hos new movie Red Tails, it was even used in Iron Man and Black Swan. Check out Vincent Laforet's work with the 5D. For the price, quality and portability it gives you you can't beat it. Anything else your talking about 10's of thousands of dollars. The real question is why wouldn't you use the 7D.

If there are 16 million pixels on a sensor, no matter what size, it is a 16 million pixel sensor. My cropped sensor has 16 million pixels, but it is a larger sensor, therefor the pixels are larger allowing more light. You know what that means? It means that my camera performs better in low light. It doesn't mean that there are 13 million pixels unusable on a P&S.

digital does't warp like that when it gets disrupted, it pixelates. It obviously took a knock, but that wouldn't have been what happened, and I'm pretty sure if it was as bad as you claimed. you never would have got the footage out of it....

@veazer1 i still have the original clip before i put the effect in, when the skateboard hit, it put a hole in the body right by where the lens was, and it destroyed the shutter and the mirror, so after i turned the camera off, when i would turn it back on, it recognized that it was broken so it said error # whatever, and the aperture on the fisheye was broken too, and its just annoying because I'm not going to go through that much trouble for a youtube video hah
