that common vent should have been a tee cross instead of a wye cross in my state that would be considered a s-trap. since the wye slants below the trap level of the fixture the trap can siphon due to negative pressure and boom u got yourself a lifelong sewer gas smell until someone replaces it with the correct fitting

@killerdawson What state is that? It just goes to show you, you should verify everything you watch on Youtube. Remember, you should always check with your local building department, for updated building codes, before taking anyone's advice, including these videos.

As a plumber I would say that would be correct, first the plumbing then electric (in most cases). If the electrician put his suff in a plumbing wall first, and it conflicted with the plumbing, theres no way of protectecting it, ITS IN THE WAY, Plumber have to put drains, vents, and water lines in a certain spot, and it changes depending on the futures it serves. Besides home owners should not do they're own plumbing it more dangerous than electrical, but that is a different video.

@farzady123 Then what's your explanation for the plumbers who have burnt electrical wires with their torches. I have never installed electrical, before plumbing and don't plan on doing so in the future. If you could prevent an accident, you probably would in this is exactly what I'm doing.
