The same exact thing happened to President Gbagbo of Cote d'Ivoire. And the Obama administration misleadingly and DELIBERATELY labeled his supporters "thugs". They instead put in place a man groomed by the World Bank/IMF, Ouattara, to represent the financial interests of France. France relies on Cote d'Ivoire's rich resources to fuel their own economy.
