You better fix that technique for a lot of reasons. Your going to mess up your wrist and it gives you less power and less speed, plus it makes the pick scrape the strings which sounds awful on bass. And it just looks silly. PS your not on stage. Stop dancing. :P

Aside from causing damage to your wrists, it is also a less efficient way of picking. Having good technique makes it much easier to play. You may find your technique doesn't inhibit your playing on this song, but on a more difficult song you will find that your technique will prevent you from playing at your fullest potential.

That may be so, but problems do take time to build up. Don't take any of this as bashing at all, simply concern for a fellow bassist. I'd hate for anyone to have to stop playing bass, or worse.

Try to limit your plucking movement- repeated jerky movements can damage. Also try to keep the thumb on the back of the neck- gives the fingers/hand much smoother movement. Try to move between strings rather than along one, e.g. in the prechorus. Please don't take offence, this is advice
