  • Wow I can reAlly see the great graphics via the sony ericsson t68i camera...ffs

  • A toaster could run Mw2

  • Do you need a disc drive to play MW2? pls answer if you know ima be able to afford this by next week.

  • @FearOfLogout w the answer to that one then u shoud not even get that laptop just saying

  • @FearOfLogout no you dont need it

  • Skeet

  • dont drop it

  • does this have a mouse port?

  • XD 11' laptop, oh my god i cant see enougth on my 17'laptop, because the screen is so small and you want sell a 11' """"gaminglaptop"""" ??? this is so fucking funny and absoulute retarded

  • @GolemShadowsun

You must have some shitty vision lmao. But for people who cant see this...you can always use the hdmi and put it on a 40 inch tv..I mean if its big enough to see..

  • @a11for1 when i use a 40' tv i dont need a laptop. for 1k$ i can get also a desktop-pc

    in my world:

    gaming->big screen

    laptop->mobility

  • @GolemShadowsun

I agree 100%. I was just messin with you. And of course, you can get a desktop even more powerful than this way cheaper.

  • @a11for1 what is it called?

  • I need help choosing between the alienware m11x with i7 extreme for a $1,120 or the asus G51jX-x3 blue for $999 which should i get

  • @MegaAdam1995 asus

  • @MegaAdam1995 honestly the asus is better but i got m11x

  • i was thinking about getting one of these but i really dont want to pay 1k for a 11' laptop. Any suggestions of other brands that are somewhat equal in quality but im not paying for the name or overpriced

  • this thing is amazing yu can game anywhere yu want in the park or garden yu cant hold pc here and there

  • do you have the default graphics card?

  • @RaptorRush1 There is only 1 graphics card available...

  • @2merdrags i7 is best next to crossfire and intel xeon

  • gamers need big screens. this is cool and all with portable gaming but now when you can get a huge more powerful laptop for $500 more.

  • I own a fairly recent Asus G50 which is spec'd out to be quite a bit more potent than this Alienware, though my fiancée just bought one of these with Windows 7 Ultimate, 256GB SSD, SU7300 CPU, and 4GB DDR3 and I have to say I like it lot better than my Asus. The build quality is better, startup time is faster (less than 30 seconds!), battery life is amazing, and the Alienware command center is much better than Asus' direct console. As an everyday laptop, the M11x is just nicer.

  • my birth day is feb. 12... too bad it past becuz i want that laptop

  • got the laptop a disk drive in it? and can i play company of heroes on the highest graphics possible?

  • @hardcorecrusher12

thereis no drive and it can play all actual games at high settings but sometimes you have to disable aa and af but it doesnt really matter due to the small but very high resoluting display

  • its not really 799 because it says that normally but you want it to be gaming so you need to customize it which goes over 1000..

  • well if u convert 799 usd dollars into australian dollars it would pretty much be the same..

  • on it, cause all the stuff is rly smooth and trust me, im craaaaaaazeeeeeeeeeeh to break comps cuz i give them too much stress, xD i can even lag core i7 desktops ( oh my poor boyfriend the other day XD)

this laptop is smooth xD! ;p and trackpad is good sized, click keys are silent with the keyboard too wich is good so u sneakunder blanket to watch po rn LOL XD ;3 joke but its rly nice and cam is good enought ;] mic is very good!!!

  • how the hell can you lag a core i7 o.o !!

Im running Core i7 and playing 2 games in the same time and Mass effect 2 and COD 5 it still never lagged o.o

  • @roxasnobody9 OMG seriuosly u running two games at same time?

  • :PPPPPPPPPPP got it today, typing on it now, pretty smooth even at 1.3ghz lol and very good, print screen button, volume, battery, brightness all work good and looks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY PRETTIER IRL, even my boyfriend was drooling over it, and max temp gaming is 51 celcius...very good laptop ;] and loud speakers, screen is good enought and pretty a lot ;p the gloss makes it look nice, keyboard isnt cramped for females, guys might be a little...good money

  • If I want a good laptop for casual gaming and school is this what I want? 800 is kind of expensive for a notebook eh?

  • @Bookstop1337 Hehe 800 is an awesome deal,

1 it can play almost any game and run it smoothly

2 Cheaper than a Mac(just sayin cause macs for me are used fo work and only work)

3 Lightweight so u can realy carry it anywhrere

  • @Bookstop1337 lol? srsly? a ''good'' notebook for casual gaming is usually ALOT more than $800

  • @hazzaza1

A custom asus could run me 600-700 and it would have hardware similar to this alienware : /

    Just my $ 0.02

  • @Bookstop1337 but they are mostly 15.6" models

  • @Bookstop1337 the G60 from asus is around 600 with c2d 2.4 and 260m gtx so this alienware is for ppl that like little things... which is pretty outrageous

  • @2merdrags

So would you say it's more economical to be using the asus? Sorry, I'm not extremely tech savvy..

  • @Bookstop1337 i dont fully understand your question. heres the deal, would you rather want something that will push out better performance in games or something that is portable and still able to play games with around 30fps. i mean if size id a concern then i guess this mis the way to go but if youre looking for butter smooth gaming, id rather go with another laptop, asus was just an example.

  • @2merdrags

I meant more price wise.. I've heard alienware computers are overpriced, and while they are good rigs, you can get similar machines for cheaper

  • @Bookstop1337 well there are many laptops that are similar priced. m11x is areound 1000$ with tax for c2d but 900 for the stock. the laptops with 260m gtx laptops are really cheap nowadays but are factory refurbished.

  • @Bookstop1337 at 11" there is NOTHING that can touch this, and now you can get it in Core i5 and Core i7.. an i7 11" notebook......

  • @2merdrags

I was deciding betwen the asus and the g60 for quite some time, and personally, i would rather go for the larger more powerful piece of hardware. But, is settled with the m11x because the size of the screen really isnt too much of a difference when playing on a laptop anyway. With the customization i got for my m11, it blows away asus's machine.

  • @Kawabic well the new asus laptop with the new 360m gts 1st class card with 2.5ghz i5 is the same price as m11x so i went with that. i know it has a low end i5 and i7 now but i think it is too pricey .

  • @hazzaza1 mine was 1k and it's a lot better than casual

  • in Colombia is 2.200.000 COP

  • @josepippo , yes i can run 3 games if i wanted to but its how to control them its crazy xD

  • THE TITLED LIED

  • HAH! 800 out here in america!

  • hahaha 799 :P

  • in australia its $1299 with no custimization

  • in Slovakia is 570euro

  • holy shit man in Romania is 1200 euros o_O wtf ?!

  • IN TAIWAN IS $2000 USD!!!!!!!

  • In chile $1200

  • Does it have a built in wireless network or does it use a card for that option?

  • an internal wifi card?

I believe so. It says so on the Tech specs on the alienware m11x page. "a/b/g/n 2x2 MIMO"

It also has a SIM card slot so you can use your 3G card.

  • in france its €799 with bluetooth and wiffi

  • In mexico is olny $1400 usd

  • in brazil it is 6000 reais about 4000 to 5000 dolars

  • In Ireland it's €820

  • I live in denmark and i gave like 1600$ for mine with 4 gb ram and 500 gb harddrive and 3 mb l 2 cache.. it sucks that i have to pay that much

  • that rotten man, in USA that would run about $1,099 D:

  • its actually $800

  • I think it might be time to sell my Dell XPS m1210. Granted my 1210 has a 2.16Ghz Core 2 vs this 1.3Ghz core 2. My 1210 only has an nvidia 7400Gs that gets 961 for a 3DMark06 score vs over 6000 for the M11x.

  • @marksapollo

I bought mine and I'm in the US. Dell said the arrival date was 3/10, but you're in England so I would guess later than that. Anyway I would think it starts to ship in late february or early march

  • @AFilms01 MINE ARRIVES 3/17 DAMM U

  • why would you want something that small. so gay. i have the m17x, badass

  • have you looked in your pants recently? theres something small to... oh i just had to say that. people like you are fucking annoying

  • likewise my good man!

  • ffs in england this costs £749 and in america its like $800 which is bullshit

  • well in england it has 2 cores as default. but the price will be 860? because theres no point getting default processor. think you can't buy better processor for laptops

  • Ah, in England you get a higher spec and that $800 does NOT include tax or shipping. I thought it was costly too till I read that. When is this shipping anyone know?

  • @marksapollo You can order it now, from Dell's site. The 800USD price tag does NOT include a dual core processor, just a single core 1.3GHz processor. 800USD has 1.3GHz single core Pentium processor, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD.

For 1099USD, you get 1.3GHz Dual Core, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD.

  • Ah I'm in the UK buddy. Need to save some money anyway. Yeah I would get the faster CPU and 4GB ram. Thanks for the CPU info as I didn't know one was single core and one dual core.

  • The standard chip is dual core. The only difference between the su4100 and the su7300 is the su7300 had an extra 1mb of L2 cache and it supports virtualisation. So if you are going to use XP mode in win 7 pro or ultimate you are gonna wanna get the su7300.

  • euro is worth more ..

  • @ FJaypewpew - what are you onna bout?who said anything about euros? Dont post comments if there gonna be that stupid

  • i just ordered this :D so excited!!

  • Me too. I hate I gotta wait a month for it to ship though.

  • aaaaaaaaaand you can hold it in one hand!?

  • you only expect to see this much scratching on a prision wall, or a banker's hummer : )

  • HOW COULD DIS HAPPEN? (heavy ftw)

  • that sucks cock!!!! you have to get an external drive...... its not that small.... put a fucking drive in it

  • @mikenike40 it IS that small dumbass. If nothing else, look at the pics

  • u dont even need a fucking internal drive most of the time, go out and buy a cheap fucking 50 buck external and your set, its not a big draw back for not having 1

  • needs a mouse

  • carrying a wireless mouse wouldn't be much of a burden

  • no ti doesn't it has to be external

  • you can use an external drive and a cd crack i think. or at least thats what my friend told me.

  • Cannot wait to get one!!!

  • Launch date is March 1st. Great computer in my opinion for only $800 USD. Looks great, runs fast. Definitely pre order it.

  • actually it launched today and you can order today. Stats:

1.3GHz, 1GB Nvidia, no disk drive , 500GB 7200RPM, up to 8GB DDR3, And is actually pretty sexy.

  • sorry thought you meant when you could order sorry

  • btw FC Barcelona all the way!

  • no it doesn't. this is a netbook. even Cnet says it doesn't have an optical drive

  • You don't know what z netbook is. By your logic the Macbook air and the HP envy are also netbooks eh? Netbook is cheap and powered by a slow processor. This is mid range prices (slightly low even) but it screams. It's calle an ultraportable. Have existed for longer than netbooks.

  • Yeah its an ultraportable, with sweet discrete graphics

  • @zachlupton That's not the definition of a netbook. Not this is not a netbook, CULV C2D and GT335m? Show me all the netbooks using that configuration please.

  • I didn't mean that is was one of those crappy HP Mini's. i just meant by the term "netbook" that it was a small size. I never meant it was crap. hell, i preordered it

  • @CensorshipFTL it is switchable..

  • Anyone know the exact launch date of this thing? And is it upgradeble?

  • Anyone who tries to play fps games with a touchpad is a moron. Just sayin' !

  • And you can get the Asus G51Vx for the same price.

  • SO what. I have an Asus well here are my specs:

    1.)Asus G51Vx-rx05/G60Vx with a 15.5" screen.

2.)Max Asus laptop screen resolution 1366x768.

3.)nVIDIA Geforce GTX 260m graphics card. 1GB video card memory.

    4.)intel Centrino2 Duo @2.0GHz

    5.)WIn 7-Home Premium.

    6.)4GB RAM and 320GB Harddrive.

    7.)Armory shell.

  • FUCK ASUS!!!!

  • Fuck you!! I never said anything bad about Alienware I love Alienware. Im getting the M11x here in about 4months any ways.

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • were past that age dude, hell, my toaster can play Crysis now.

  • it has intel core 2 duo but the bad part is, is that it's only 1.3GHz...

but still, it's a great laptop and im planning to get it for my b-day which is in feb. :D

  • does this have a disk drive ???

  • @KillerK1w1

    no it doesn't.

when you buy the laptop there is a note from alienware, it says: HA! you bought this piece of shit, try and play your games on this gaming computer with no disc drive. - and then there is some rambling about how you like bollocks in the mouth- yours humourlessly alienware customer support *pwned pwned pwned*

  • @000rodney000 first of all youre retarded. most games are now easily installed without having to use a disc drive. steam has almost all games in its library and through it you can input your cd keys. learn something about computers before you try to sound intelligent.

  • I dont think so :[

  • ....mw2...my ass...

  • look at the other clip to see it playing MW2

  • u idiot ! it is not mw2 but left 4 dead 2

  • daaayym not many people in this world had Alienware laptop, even if you had a great job. damn you rich people! lol.

  • 1.3 ghz???????? i thought that was slow coz my mac is 2.26 ghz???????? some 1 tell me wats goin on?

  • @podgeyfinger

It varies on cache, cores, etc. Processor speed doesn't explain anything anymore.

  • @podgeyfinger its also dual processors

  • and a kickass chip set

  • That is one sexy machine

  • Super machine, mais arretez avec vos ecrans brillant completement inutilisable !!!!! Si il sort en dalle matte j'achete, sinon je prendrais un samsung.

  • this is elite

  • wait... is there a place to put CD in it?

  • No. Optical media is dead. Download steam and grab all your games from the cloud. For legacy stuff already on CD simply copy the contents to a USB drive from another computer.

  • don't you need the cd to actually play the games though. if theres a way to do it without that, i will be very happy if you could tell me. im a bit worried about the lack of a cd drive myself for things like the sims.

  • Every single game I have purchased was in DVD format but for pure portability sake, I play all of them without a CD. Some have official patches that remove the CD check and others don't and require you to use an unofficial NOCD patch.

  • get an external disk drive

  • @HondaRulzz4 its a netbook so no, they must use external cd drives using usb.

  • o.. wow.. never knew about that

  • i fucking want it when is it released?

  • In feburary i think

  • Mid-February

  • i think it just got pushed to april : (

  • How about instead of buying a laptop u buy a decent camera to record?

  • Dude, this was taken on my phone... In MMS mode. (I'd do HQ mode but the audio gets out of sync and it won't upload via 3G then).

If you want to see an HD review see our CES episode at hak5 org, or check out Patrick Norton's first impression video at revision3 com/ces

  • wait! did he say fire wire ? throw in usb 3.0 on top of that and im sold

  • @smartalex23 or esata

  • Nice : there IS a market for gaming Netbooks !

  • Really pitiful processor hoping for an i3 or i5. Very nice laptop though this is going to be sold out like crazy.

  • That "Pitiful" processor is equal to a E7200.

  • O really didn't know 1066mhz=800mhz. Nice fail there buddy.

  • What are you talking about? lol

  • Su7300= 800mhz front side bus

    E7200 = 1066mhz front side bus

    E7200= 2.5ghz

    Su7300=1.3ghz

    Not even close l@l

  • You can't compare them, their totally different architectures. It overclocks to 1.78 GHz to let you know.

  • What the hell do you mean you can't compare them? You just said it equals it then when I prove you wrong you come up with some lame excuse. It doesn't matter it has 800mhz FSB and 1066mhz. No matter how much you overclock even to a certain extent E7200 will demolish it.

  • Perhaps you would't be so confused if you would learn to listen.

The rated Front Side Bus is irrelevant to performance -- only relevant to overclocking ability.

You can't compare CPU's based on clock speed alone. They are different architectures. It's like saying a Pentium 4 at 4.0GHZ is better than an i7 at 2.6GHZ.

  • I'm not comparing clock speeds, I'm comparing performance based on two processors. Pentium 4 is a single core with like 1mb l2 cache. Compared to i7's 4 core, each core hyperthreading. i7 Doesn't utilize FSB, and Front side bus isn't solely based off of overclocking. Its basically how fast the cpu transfers information to north bridge and this is a huge factor no matter what clock speed. I hope you're joking with that statement. I wasn't comparing clock speeds he said e7200=su7300Desktopvslaptop

  • You only mentioned clock speeds, hence, you were. Now you mention the overall architecture quality, cache sizes and number of cores, but you did not say that previously, hence you must realize the bullshit you were presenting.

The CPU transfering information to the memory controller at a slightly faster rate is not all that important.

"I wasn't comparing clock speeds he said e7200=su7300Desktopvslaptop"

You only mentioned clock speed, that was my point. And you accuse me of misreading?

  • If you read I said 800mhz=1066mhz ? You don't have a valid argument I don't know what you're trying to prove. I'm just saying E7200 DOESN'T equal Su7300. Don't know why you're making a big deal out of it. When somebody says E7200 is the same as the su7300 you obviously have to include information regarding clock speeds and front side bus even L2 Cache.

  • You mentioned rated FSB and clock speeds. That is all.

"I don't know what you're trying to prove"

    Nothing.

    "'Im just saying E7200 DOESN'T equal Su7300"

    I never said otherwise.

"you obviously have to include information regarding clock speeds and front side bus even L2 Cache."

So should you. You only mentioned the rated FSB and its clock speed.

  • I meant 'you' in general not you specifically.

  • @DaFinestx what about power consumption....... su7300 has 10w....... and e7200 is 65w..... even on the lowest specs battery would last 2 hours lol....... they want efficiency with power...... and that thing delivers both.....do some research if u dont believe me

  • Who cares about power consumption. E7200 is a desktop processor read the previous comment by wheelchair guy. He said E7200=Su7300 and I'm 99% sure he meant performance wise, but that's obviously not true at all.

  • No I meant power consumption/power comparisons. not raw Power.

  • You have to realize you're comparing a desktop processor and a low wattage mobile dual core cpu. Even comparing how much power they use the Su will utilize a fairly lower amount compared to the 65w E7200. This anonymous guy is just retarded he is telling me to listen when he can't even read.

  • That's like saying an 8800GTX is better than a 4850 because the 4850 is a lower wattage. You have a point that mobile chips are worse overall -- but I was not saiyng otherwise. You *only* mentioned clock speed and I was pointing that out. You're making presumptions about my intentions and thoughts and you accuse me of false reading.

  • Also according to your theory, we have 2 processors one with 50mhz FSB and one with 500mhz, and both same clock speeds. And you're going to tell me that they will perform similarly? Dude FSB is a huge factor yes when you overclock you raise the FSB, check voltages, all that stuff, but saying its for overclocking purposes is just real ignorant.

  • 50MHZ - 500MHZ is a big gap, but get two processors with the same specs but with that difference and benchmark them.

I was talking about more minor gaps, like, 800MHZ and 1066MHZ.

  • Its a pretty obvious outcome. If you have same cache but higher fsb the CPU with the higher front side bus will outbenchmark it. It is common sense, but this is obviously on stock speeds.

  • GOOD GOD STOP WITH THE NERD VIOLENCE lol. i actually learned alot about the processor from this XD

  • @WheelchairAccessible

what? su processors are dual cores but they are low end processors, they consume way less power than a normal core 2 duo. plus the normal core 2 duo run @ speeds faster so if you have planned to have a computer with a low consume electricity processor. please don't think you can play intense games with it.

  • @nbohaychuk961996 Modern Warfare is an excellent game! Haven't played Need for Speed or Quake Live though,Have to check those out.

    Nice! VM's! =D

ouch just a little hot :\

  • wow what are your specs? I have the first aluminum unibody MacBook. It sucks it doesn't have firewire no back lit keybaord. And just 2.0Ghz! I feel screwed by apple sometimes.

  • @flashback1234 you are screwed by apple.

  • yea, thanks Darren... Now I have to go spend another k on another laptop :) This thing looks hella sweet!

  • uhm sorry to tell you but photoshop isn't a game....

j/k =) what games do you play on it?

  • I play CSS with crossover games. It sucks because since I upgraded to snow leopard I get nasty crashes!

I'm not much of a gamer anymore though. But I think this laptop is pretty close to the Macbook pro 13" from now. But this laptop has a smaller screen and is a little cheaper. And of course is windows.
