That doesn't seem to be the case with Islam which is why he seems to make such an offensive presentation. I have to agree that he does spread fear, but he's also living in fear. Today of course the borders are less visible but the essence of it all is that in the end we are all Europeans. We share a common history and common traditions. Europe is essentially built on Greek Philosophy, Roman law and Christian faith. Turkey doesn't fit the picture at all. And while Istanbul might be modern much of Turkey isn't.
