"Amen,..."
I haven't heard this song since it came out.. huge memories from my childhood.. I heard this a lot on the rides at the amusement park near my house back in summer 1992.. techno was huge back then
@gabbermikegee - the correct band name is "Rage", not "En-Rage". Officially they were called "Rage", also the name they released their 1993 album "Saviour". They changed to "En-Rage" as a one off for "Run To You" when it was first released in May 1992, (although it did not chart) because they shared their name with a German heavy metal band, but after they settled the dispute over the name, they re-released the track in October 1992 and it made #3 in the UK Singles Chart. Very good cover BTW!
After 15 or so years later, I now know what he was saying. Thanks kovacsur. You're either quite the sleuth, you have a good ear for interpretation or it was pure chance. I spent a couple of hours one day on this.
Two covers of Bryan Adams songs have done better than the original, this is not to say that the originals were better than the covers. Rage covered 'Run To You' which peaked at no. 3 in the UK charts November 1992 (original reached no. 11 in February 1985) and DJ Sammy covered 'Heaven' which reached no. 1 in November 2002 (original only peaked at no. 38 in May 1985). 'The Summer of '69' has never made the UK top 40, only peaking at no. 41 in August 1985.
Well my mate Steve thinks it's "you need to soak them feet, stuff and nonsense" but I think it's "we need to show this beef to Onassis". Other guesses welcome :)
They sound like - "You need to slow your speed, stop the knockin' " - which doesn't really fit in with the rest of the song lyrics. I would REALLY love to know what the actual words are! And can't wait to hear the funny ones too :)
quite good dance remix of a classic, but nothing beats the original. I think Run to You is my all time favorite song, because its just so catchy. Then Michael Jackson's Bad.
Hadn't heard this one in almost 15 years but it's like it was just yesterday. I guess it's time for me to seek out a nice retirement home. Someone shoot me please!!
finally! i remember hearing this song on the radio... probably 15 years ago. never heard it since. Great tune. One of those rare dance remixes of a rock song that actually worked. Brings back good memories! Thanks!

This is driving me crazy. What is he saying at 2:38? I've looked everywhere. Anyone willing to interpret (it's not in reverse, I checked).
I laughed to tears when a friend told me that it was most likely: "You need to throw your skis off the mountain!".
It's either another language or he's saying something along the lines of "You need to shore your beat up a notch"
Anyone else willing to guess?
douchebagmoore 2 years ago
Not sure, but my guess is 'you need to show me these beats aren't for nothing'

"You need to slow your speed, stop the nonsense." It's a sample from "The Power" by Chill Rob G.
