reading the manual wont give anyone any even tiny idea of how dope and vast the octatrack is. hook it into quite literally ANY audio source and let the beats fly. its the sequencer that made the Machinedrum a cult classic only now instead of drumsynth its anysynth. serious bizness for serious musicians.
Surely I cant be the only one to spot the monotribes poor sync. Clearly from the videos I have watched the thing has some issues keeping a tight sync. Bear in mind being in time (which it is sort of) is a lot different from in time - locked 0n sync -grrovin. For that you need mega stable clocks which the monotribe doesnt have
@harrymerchant456 I think you're just hearing how the sequence on the Monotribe is kinda offbeat compared to the beat playing on the Octatrak... but they are playing "in time." I've heard that the Mono has no issues keeping sync as long as it is fed a proper tick.
How easy is it to capture audio on the fly with the Octatrack ?I've almost read the manual and am still considering it, but reading the manual isn't the same as having it.
Being able to capture audio creations on the fly is a must for me.
Great stuff I loved it, I have a monotribe too, dirty little munchkin it is.

So you just send an audio level pulse to the sync in on each beat? Its that simple to sync? Cool.

I was about to ask how you got the monotribe to sync up with the rest of your gear but then I read the rest of the description lol. This rocks!
