I just came across a New York Times Science Article That explained this ..It's awesome they have a video of it up here on YT ...It's amazing what these little brainless creatures can do together ....
I remember seeing a movie that had slime molds like this in junior high and it scared the living shit out of me. It was the choice of music and narration. I wish I could remember the name of the movie. Anyone know what i'm talking about?
This might sound incredibly weird, but slime molds are one of my favorite creatures. Obviously, they're not animals, but I consider them to be one of my favorite animals anyways. : ) Thanks for uploading this.
More needs to be done. If they can mimick the Tokyo subway, then might they be capable of...communication on some level? This is the elephant in the room that no one is discussing.

@TearsofWolves Slime molds are more closely related to humans than they are to plants. Not saying you're wrong just a fun fact.
