"there's some blood"... even if there is the marker of a trail on the ground it doesn't mean that it is blood just because you shot him... there might be 3 things:

blood, foot steps and shit made by the animal

next time be careful with what you say because errors on videos of youtube can lead viewers to massive noobing on the actual game =)

@charlied180 the intestine isnt a good place to shoot because i've tryed that and 2 animals got away... maybe the shotgun is more powerfull but still... not a very good plate to shoot an animal
