  • Thanks, this really helped, but I'm still a little confused on something. For the top picture that shows the notes in order on the bar, it doesn't display all of the notes from the guitar picture, are those just useless? Do they come in later? I'm still kind of new to playing the guitar so can anyone help???

  • @GrantTudor the reason is because showing all the notes on a 24 fret guitar would be overkill for a diagram where 90% of most beginner chords are within the first 3 frets.

  • At first I was a little confused. Then had to sit back and take my time and now I got it. Thank you so much.

  • i dont know how to say it. thank you so fucking much this is the only video that shows how to find notes on guitar properly according to sheet music. yes fuck tabs, fuck all the tabs video. i wanna learn real music, thanks dude ur so nice.

  • that dot bouncing around gave me a seizure

  • What I dont understand is while playing guitar, you dont just play notes, you play chords. I understand how to read all the notes on the sheet music, but how do you make them into chords?

  • Thanks man, this really helped

  • DAMN you talk fast!

  • Confusing!

  • Dude i totally get it now!!!! Awesome

  • what about all the notes between the strings, were are they on the staff?

  • @rampu43 unisons. multiple notes can be played on multiple locations throughout the guitar. More on my website

  • this is a bit confusing :D

  • I'm lost. Ok, let watch it again...and again. Then see if I finally get it. Sorry, I guess I'm a bit slow, especially since I've never played guitar b4 and can't wait to finally play at least 1 song in my life time. TY for the tutorial. ;D

  • M confused 2

  • m confused

  • im confused?

  • BEST tutorial on notes / music theory ~ guitar EVER. Thank you!

  • That's a great little tutorial. The only question I have is what happens if the notes are meant to be played further up the neck? How is that explained in notation? As far as I can tell only the first 3 frets and the open strings are covered.

Thanks for making this video it's very kind of you.

  • @JoeBlue727 there are unisons on guitar. so a note on a music staff can actually be played at multiple postions on the neck in some cases

  • dude! thanks so much this vid was awsome!

  • aah question how do you write A# on the first string for example do you need to write it with a special note symbol?

  • thanks man...

  • the video is good but I think you should zoom out on the page. Its difficult to follow

  • Can you PLEASE make this into a printable chart?

like how you compare the sheet music notes to the guitar fret notes?

    Ill love you forever

    :)

  • link in video description :)

  • youre going way too fast, but very good vid otherwise!!

  • haha ooops! Watch it again if its too fast :)

  • @jespin4 the video is 9:14 long, and u cant have anymore than 10 mins without breaking it to 2 videos..

  • Having learned the piano, WAY before I took up the guitar, I'm with ya on this.....it's helpful.

    Just slow down a tad....I'm getting old....lol

  • AWESOME lesson. Clear, straightforward, and to the point. You're a fantastic teacher!

  • Thank you for your instructions. Unfortunately, it is too fast for me as a beginner. I found it little bit confuse at the moment. I will try my best to watch it over and over. Thanks again.

  • Very helpful thanks! Wish I had a copy of the sheets you drew out... It would make a great cheat sheet :)

  • it helped but it was a bit annoying at some parts for people who can accually read music and it was a little jumpy to me

  • dude EXTREMLY helpful video man!
