  • wish i could learn this form

  • Respect, Master Wong Kiew Kit is one of my main inspirers, although I have not had the oportunity yet to meet him.

  • You are being taught by Sifu Wong Kiew Kit? I'm reading two of his books right now! "The Art of Shaolin Kung Fu", and "The Complete Book of Tai Chi Chuan".

What is he like as a teacher?

  • Did you learn all this from the book "The Art Of Shaolin Kung Fu"?

  • No. My teacher is the author of that book. I learned it from him.

  • Awesome, i wish i could train under him...

  • My Sifu has read a lot of his work and regards him as a man to be respected. When I heard that I picked up both his book on Shaolin and Tai Chi. You fortunate to have such a great teacher.

  • this form is very beautiful, i saw you wobble a bit tho lol but it is hard to balance on lose sand so yea but i love how you guys actualy learn to use the moves from your forms in sparring..... just as it should be

  • Thanks for this lovely demonstration. I'm trying to learn the 5 animal form myself and Im finding it somewhat difficult to learn from master Wong's video as he's very fast and the video quality isnt as great. It's great to see it from the book then look at this and see it in movement! kudoz

  • shaolin kung fu is the mother of all martial arts ............these type so statements show ignorance on so many levels. Every recordered civilization has a history of conflict wars ect... Martial Arts began hundreds of years before someone coined the phrase martial arts. There were martial arts in china before Da Mo came from India. He is considered by mant the father of shaolin arts. Man has been fighting each other since the beginning of time!

  • my favorite style is butterfly kung fu xD

the dumbest one reallying on full blow trickery no hitting at all ........

  • I would love to learn Shaolin Five animals Kung fu. Could you teach me?

  • it's called shaolin five animals kung fu so you would be training in the five animal forms: tiger crane snake leopard and dragon.

  • shaolin kung fu is the mother of all martial arts

  • I was considering starting kung fu since my jujitsu teacher quit and i wanted to know weather you do any patterns? When i did tae kwon do i remember having to do one for each belt and it bored the hell out of me! w/b

  • i should apologise for that last comment of mine it certainly was`nt intended to offend,i did`nt mean blah blah blah as in whatever although it probably looks that way when i read it back,i just mean`t blah blah etc as in teachers teacher etc because it seemed funny at the time writing that if you get me,this is the problem with writing emails, things get misinterpreted but any way thanks for the reply..

  • you say your teachers teachers teacher blah blah would of said the same how do you know that?lol i know its vast ive studied it for 13 years mine is a shaolin art but i have a general idea where and which particular system my forms are from, this is the reason why forms and techniques were named in the first place partly am i wrong?

  • My art comes from the southern Shaolin Temple in Fujian provence. A monk named Jiang Nan taught it to Yang Fatt Khun, who taught it to Ho Fatt Nam, who taught it to Wong Kiew Kit, who taught it to me. I know what my sitaigung (my teacher's teacher's teacher) called his art because my teacher told me. Thus, I know what how he would have answered the question.

Blah blah blah? If you've studied for 13 years, I would expect some basic courtesy when asking a question of a fellow martial artist.

  • and what style-sytem did he get it from? ;)

  • If you ask my teacher, he will simply say "Shaolin Kung Fu". His teacher, as well as his teacher's teacher, would have given the same answer. The monk who escaped from the Shaolin Temple also called it "Shaolin Kung Fu". Hung Gar comes from Shaolin, but Wong Fei Hung called his art "Shaolin Kung Fu". Shaolin Kung Fu is a vast art, and there are many varieties, but some masters prefer to call all of it: Shaolin Kung Fu.

  • What system is this form from.

  • This form is from Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit's system, Shaolin Wahnam.

  • "Hi sihing Anthony,thanks for sharing...: )"

  • Hi sifu Anthony,

it's me Randy, sonwukong on the discussion forum. What's the name of the pattern at 00:53?

  • Hi Randy. The pattern in the False-Leg stance is called "White Tiger Presents Claws", and the pattern after it is called "Fierce Tiger Descends Mountain".
