That was an excellent series review. I got my Storm last week, and my wife got a 3G-S the week prior. While I like the size of the BB, the 3G-S's wifi is a huge advantage over the BB. Also, suretouch typing should be called slowtouch. I wish I had gotten the Bold instead of the Storm.
Nothing compares to a blackberry. A iphone is made by apple, face it it's bloated and apple doesn't care about customers. I had a talk with someone at blackberry headquarters once and they said that if your blackberry storm is having locking/freezing/restarting problems that you could; 1. get a replacement; 2. get the extended battery; 3. or upgrade the firmware to the latest and greatest optimized for the storm. Overall i highly recommend a storm, if you can, get the newest model from Verizon.

Yeah they pretty much are now with the new software they get shipped with. I just had mine for about 2 weeks now and the list of problems I have seen people talking about I haven't come across. So things are starting to smooth out.

Yeah honostly, I got this phone and I don't think there has been a better blackberry. It is literally amazing.
Though it does lack apps unlike the Iphone, but I'm sure there will be more to come. Also what you have to look at is that the most of the Iphone's apps are useless, just silly stuff that you would never reallu use.

If you ever read this, it is possible to view videos in portrait mode. Set one of the hardware shortcut keys for media. Then, select a video and put it in protrait. Press ur hardware shortcut key, and it should be in protrait. Rotate it for landscape.( i only lnow it works for version .75)

yeah with new firmware updates it shouldn't be a problem. iphone was the same when it was released, full of bugs and shit until the firmware updates came.
I have the phone and it does have a lot of bugs... my phone gives me the most problems when I use the camera it tends to freeze and I have to pull the battery which really sucks because it takes forever to reload
Excellent reviews of the phone. I'm hoping the reception will work in my office. I'm going back HOME to blackberry now (a brief stop with the iTOY, i mean the iPhone). I'm confident that they firmware updates will speed up the phone also. AND with the new paper under the battery trick, hopefully the typing will improve as well.
one change that is a must for rim is to make the keyboard a full keyboard like the landscape mode keyboard, please change it!!! you are making it twice as hard to type because there are two draw backs to speed the click screen and the two letter per button keyboard

If you ever read this, it is possible to view videos in portrait mode. Set one of the hardware shortcut keys for media. Then, select a video and put it in protrait. Press ur hardware shortcut key, and it should be in protrait. Rotate it for landscape.( i only lnow it works for version .75)

ok i really want this phone, but i heard that it has alot or viruses and bugs in it, is that true? is it a good phone? because right now i have the orginal enV, so maybe i shouldnt get this phone, i dont know what to do! so please give me your opinion

yeah with new firmware updates it shouldn't be a problem. iphone was the same when it was released, full of bugs and shit until the firmware updates came.

but still the update that they have already seems to make the storm change its performance drastically

I have the phone and it does have a lot of bugs... my phone gives me the most problems when I use the camera it tends to freeze and I have to pull the battery which really sucks because it takes forever to reload

Excellent reviews of the phone. I'm hoping the reception will work in my office. I'm going back HOME to blackberry now (a brief stop with the iTOY, i mean the iPhone). I'm confident that they firmware updates will speed up the phone also. AND with the new paper under the battery trick, hopefully the typing will improve as well.

one change that is a must for rim is to make the keyboard a full keyboard like the landscape mode keyboard, please change it!!! you are making it twice as hard to type because there are two draw backs to speed the click screen and the two letter per button keyboard

What is the story with the Storm and its apps? I just ordered on and expect it early next week. I really am praying that they will have just as cool apps as the iphone...I waited for the STorm, because Verizon is worth sticking with over the crappy ATT service.

Nope...that wasn't the selling point for me, but I was just curious as to whether or not they were going to be available on the storm. The biggest selling point for me is the Verizon network; which is the best in the country.

they released an update 2 weeks ago to fix the lagging and make it faster with less bugs, its better now. and yes, my songs synced from itunes right onto the storm very easily. although i didn't buy those somgs off itunes.
