@W3BMAST3ER34 cheers. guns are airsoft (BB firing) ones. mainly plastic build for these as they were cheap but as long as you don't have too many close-up shots of them you get away with it and they look metal etc.

@rascheese For this it was After Effects CS2 for Visual Effects and Premiere Pro CS2 (both by Adobe). They are now onto versions CS5 but they require a 64-bit processor and operating system so currently not compatible for me!

It's a plastic airsoft one - use to be able to buy online fairly cheaply but laws changed since then and now is bit harder. Normally have to be in something like a model shop (or an airsoft specialist) and provide ID (over 18 believe you have to be. Hope this helps

This video was just a test for the software. If he wanted it to be professional he would have had some of the older guys in the video. Noticed 7 year olds dunno know shit about shooting from different angles and shit. I have to say the fake effects were good. I have been trying to get a software with just fake effects. To clarify; the two boys in the video were 10 and 14 at time of filming and I'm the older of the two (at 15 now)!

Just wondering if when you said "7 year olds dunno know shit about shooting from different angles" you mean were to shoot guns from or where to place camera? If guns then yeah, I admit we aren't in the army or anything and probably never will be! If angles then let me know what you think about them.

Umm FXLab is cheap and simple but Adobe After Effects is a lot better.

How did you get the special effects?

a mixture of places, a few are from Andrew Kramers collection called Action Movie essentials, basically a collection of blood, muzzle flashes etc. Fire in intro from Dentanation Films free section but be prepared to wait for ages for them to download and a few generated in After Effects, this was more of a compositing test rather than a effects test, see lightsaber fight for that!

i started with WMM but yeh it is kinda annoying, ur gun fight is pretty cool though considering you did it in WMM! You can get a 30 day free trial of AE and if u live in the UK (US etc might do a similar thing) then you can buy it on a student license and it is much cheaper! Good luck

Adobe After effects 7.0 Pro (now cs3) for vfx.

also used adobe audtion 2 (now 3!) for sound.

It was because I had to take a still image as in the original the actor never actually went of screen. So when I came to editing it (the next day) I realized that I needed the picture and had to take it then so the lighting had changed!
