I don't see the comparison to "Dancing Queen." Guess I'm a moron. ABBA should have recorded this and released it. It's quintessential ABBA, and only ABBA could put it over they top. Great song, and missed ABBA opportunity.
I think it is to ABBA's eternal credit that they didn't release FF themselves. They would have become "one trick ponies", as there are similarities between it and DQ. The lyric theme, and the basic chords come to mind straight away. So many groups cash in on the success of one record by releasing a similar one 5 minutes later, and they end up dumper bound. Well done ABBA - Fernando, DQ, KMKY - 3 great but totally different records! That said FF is a good song - for someone else!
ABBA did record a version of Funky Feet with Agnetha & Frida singing it but it has remained in the vaults. Funky Feet does not sound like Dancing Queen I don't think it does. ARRIVAL do the best version of Funky Feet.
Certainly no mistaking this as ABBA! The hooks, the harmonies...I really like it, but Frida and Agnetha would have sent it in to outer space! Thank you!
She was American and was with a trio touring Sweden when she met Svenne. The sixties were a good time to look for a more tolerant society than the USA, and these things combined to allow her to make a home in Sweden. The Americans loss is our gain!
Loved their LP back then.It was produced by Benny.Love more Fridas solo-album.It was my second record to buy.The best song on that was Skulle de va skönt.Beach Boys in swedish! Better lyrics and sounds!
its not unreleased at all! it was the openingtrack of the "Letters" album by Svenne&Lotta. And as for ABBAs version, it simply doesn´t exist. Bjorn and Benny were still under contract to produce the other artists under the Polar label. B.&B: recorded some of the bakingtrack with ABBA in mind, but they never went further with it with ABBA.. So they kept on working the track as an original S&L song

Do you know when Funky Feet was written by B&B? I only knew the recording of Alcazar.
Thanks for the 'Rocky' song, I am always bursting into tears when I hear this song...

:ook at youtube for my video of Sherrys medley of dance hits.
Lotta was a member of this Philly girl group and met Svenne while touring in Sweden.
I think you will enjoy some of my other Svenne & Lotta videos as well.
Cheers then!
