I don't know if you meant it to come out like that... but it comes across just like that commercial asking people to donate for animals start the asking off with "As an animal lover" or end it with "As an animal lover" which will guilt the person into donating, or the person won't feel like an animal lover.

It sort of hit me the same way. I am a very kind and generous person, but the video seemed like strong arm tactics to make us feel guilty enough to donate.

I steer away from churches that do the same thing. When I give, I want to be a cheerful giver, and not goaded into it, out of shame for something that I am not responsible for in the first place.

I feel very strongly for the victims of this government sponsored disaster. They need to be held responsible.

OK - well, not knowing the exact details of his condition & treatments....I do know that SS/Disability does not give much to live one. Yet he would then be getting Medicaid coverage. So I would assume that his medical needs exceed his coverage.....and he may be getting unfairly large co-payments.
