  • Not too subtle attempt to cut him off.

Go to hell, Tucker. You're silencing a voice of reason.

  • I saw this when it happened, I cheered Jon then, his satire and critiques are usually very good, but since the cultic rise of that rookie senator Obama into the WH, Im not so enthused...if we lived with real media, we would have had a revolution by now to sweep out the plutocrats and restore the republic..but like Jon says, hes a comedy show, its not his job to expose all the crimes

  • "He's mocking us! Quick, laugh really hard to make it look like he's just joking!"

  • The only difference between Glenn Beck/Rush Limbaugh/Bill O'reilly and Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert/Bill Maher is that the former don't make stupid goofy faces at the camera to tell you you're supposed to be laughing instead of thinking critically about the bullshit they're spoonfeeding you.

Jon Stewart IS propaganda-peddling mainstream media personified. Just look at the tantrums he throws whenever someone lawfully and peacefully protests the actions of the current administration.

  • :|..wow..CNN, Fox..Big news stations..I'm so dissappointed in the world we live in..and @moustachejoker99 i agree

  • Jon Boy's America is full of unproductive perverts

  • Isn't it great how Jon Stewart was asking, PLEADING for the supposed newsman to have a serious conversation with him, yet they weren't willing to? And Stewart was being more intelligent then both these men combined?

    My favorite part?

Tucker: "I thought you were gonna be funny."

Jon: "No, no I'm not gonna be your monkey."

    Damn right

  • This is comparable to a steroid-abusing man just kicking the shit out of retarded babies. A horrible image, but that is what Jon Stewart does to these people.

  • its sad jon stewart wanted to have a debate on Crossfire, and it appeared the hosts didn't want to .... that makes sense, right? =/

  • ROFL who sees the irony of a representative of a NATIONAL NEWS OUTLET trying to fire back at a COMEDY SHOW for not conducting a formal interview? HAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD who sees the irony in jon stewart "ringing you up and haranging you for mocking him"?

  • I hate carlson. He seems like an idiot.

  • ..not to mention the bitchy, whining phone call he made to seth mcfarlane about a joke on "family guy". if you can't take a joke jon, then don't make a living out of laughing at everyone else. the biggest "epic fail" of an extraordinary, liberal comedian is to get all touchy about someone else making FUN of you. "you used to be cool.".. back to the furture jon.

  • jon sucks for having an influence on "crossfire" being cancelled. as crumby and argumentative it may have been, it was the first show to get me stirred up about politics as a teenager. when you look at t.v in this decade (kartrashians, scurvy shore etc.).. it pales in comparison. i stopped watching the daily show about a year ago after the rally. hes slowly becoming a douchebag. maybe it's premature senility or something.

  • @wiltedpolyp Crossfire was the Jersey Shore of political talk shows. You should be thanking Jon Stewart you're not wasting your time watching that shit.

  • @CoolerKing37 i would prefer living in a world with "the jersey shore of politics", as opposed to the actual nightmare of jersey shore and kardashia that we now live in. i liked that particular pack of idiots, fighting over politics. now all i have is "kourtney and khloe take wtv"..and the republican candidates.

  • @wiltedpolyp Knowing how shitty Crossfire was, they'd probably debate about the Kardashians too, only they would take it to a whole knew level of awfulness.

  • @CoolerKing37 you "know" that's bullshit, and politics was the staple of the show. if it had lasted longer, perhaps it would have evolved into something brighter, with a more interesting panel. anyway, its ancient history, jon is still a fukwad though.

  • 2.04 Obvious fake laugh

  • Jon Stewart is a pompous fucking ass that does a disservice to this country. He had the chance to grill Rick Perry and nip that shit in the bud, but he didn't. Fuck his elitist Yankee self.

  • @angrynadya When was Rick Perry on The Daily Show?

  • DAMN JOHN'S THE BOSS BABY "

  • Obama Tit Suckers: :-0

Most of Obama voters are Living off the government tit!

They are low life people that are able bodied, yet live off government assistance. I.E. Welfare, WIC, Food Stamps etc. healthy welfare recipients that are able to work but choose not to because they are satisfied with their welfare checks for doing nothing.

The people living off the government tit are the largest voter pool for the democratic party.

  • Jon's brother Larry Leibowitz is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the New York Stock Exchange.

  • I find it so sad that Jon Stewart is a comedian on the comedy network, and yet he appears to be the most intelligent man on this particular show.

  • The Death of Crossfire.

  • To Cardinalsarelame. Don't blame John Stewart for your lack of a good sense of humor.

  • Why shouldn't people mold their opinions around his show? It may not be "serious news" but that doesn't mean it isn't the truth? It is MORE of the truth than "real" news shows because he doesn't hide behind any bullshit. He points out the obvious and that's what makes people laugh. They know what he is saying is true, and yet they see how pathetic the real story is, and that's why they laugh.

  • How old are you... and you still wear a bow-tie.

  • Oh c'mon. Jon Stewart hides behind the comedy show thing while in reality, whether he intends it or not (and I think he does a bit) a lot of people (and I know A LOT of em) mold opinions based on his show and take his news as serious reporting in some cases.

  • @oldstyleliberal "a lot of people (and I know A LOT of em) mold opinions based on his show and take his news as serious reporting in some cases." I don't see how this makes his whole "I run a comedy show" argument any less valid. He merely points out simple things like inaccuracies, and stupidity in politicians. He is only dedicated to making politicians responsible for what they say, and making people laugh.

If people want to base their political views on that, that's their problem.

  • I love how they had the laugh tracks rolling...

  • haha, fuck yeah.

  • In fairness, I agree with most of you guys, Tucker Carlson is a dick....but here's the thing, the employer who thinks these guys are good needs to have his head examined!

  • It's interesting how the "serious" journalists are unwilling to have a serious debate. They can't even defend their own show. Ludicrous

  • owwwch...he tore that kid up......

  • @danksmokers Typing in all caps doesn't make your argument look any less stupid.

  • @CoolerKing37 But it does make it more funny.

  • @danksmokers he speaks reality through comedy, the actual sad thing about it is that he tells more truth than any main stream media organization...........

  • stewart ko'd this chump

  • @diptdipt Nobody else came to this video and spewed nonsense from a book that has been altered more than Jordan's tits, so why do you insist on doing so? I could dismantle every single one of your beliefs. Best to keep them to yourself.

Religion is something that should be kept in private, in your own morals, personal prayer or communal worship. It should have no place in politics, science or YouTube comments. Have a nice day.

  • The demise of crossfire and Tucker Carlson... Truth prevails...

  • the problem is that he never elaborated on why it's "bad" and why it's "hurting America" because he was absolutely right.

  • "I do think you're more fun on your show—"

"You know what's interesting though? You're as big a dick on your show as you are on any show"

  • he called them hacks to their faces <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • jon stewart for president

  • love the puppets making prank calls remark. :)

  • how old are you?

    35... and you wear a bow-tie

  • @superbad65

    bow ties are cool

  • @superbad65

bow ties are cool...but not on this guy

  • WOWWWWWW. Those guys are massive douche bags, especially the 12 year old with the bow tie.

  • I for one, welcome our media overlords. Boo Jon Stewart, you're not even Jewish.

  • So John Stewart doesn't take himself serious on his own show, but all of the sudden he can be serious when he's ridiculing someone else's shitty show? Oh what twisted logic can come from the ignorant mind

  • @ruinerfixxxer First of all, his name is spelled Jon Stewart. Second, considering that he raises extremely valid points whether he takes himself serious or not should be an indication of the intelligence he possesses.

  • @ruinerfixxxer

Jon Stewart's show is intended to be a satire, its intended to be a joke. He's criticizing these hack's because their show is INTENDED to be a center for political debate, to illuminate and enlighten the public to important issues so that they can for their own opinions and ideas. He draws an issue with this show, crossfire, because he feels instead of doing what the show INTENDs to do, it plays a political game that only serves the politicians and big name companys

  • *sigh* he's so good looking

  • Tucker Carlson got served. And you wear a bowtie. Ha ha

  • Respond to this video...

  • Jon Stewart is a badass. I remember when this happen.

  • jon stewart is a genius

  • Wow. They cut him off when he wouldn't play into their theater. Worthless.

  • his bowtie wasn't helping this show....just saying....

  • Tucker Carlson is stunned. Actually Stunned. I am in shock at the way this guy thinks. Least reasonable/rational person, other than Ann Coulter.

  • @karendelouche I read your name as karenledouche, because you are a douche.

  • I like the part when he destroyed Crossfire.

  • Jon is a Stewart is a hero to America....

  • Mainstream media isn't left vs right, it's right vs far right.

  • Tucker Carlson is such a faggot. I'm ashamed that my name is Tucker too...

  • When I'm sad, I watch this video. It makes me believe that some people out there are still sane.

  • @OopsYouFailed i like ur youtube name haha it applies to the guys on crossfire

  • before i liked jon stewart, now i respect him

  • Jon Stewart is a traitor to America.

  • John Stewart is honest and respectful. That other guy, whatever his name is, is a dick.

  • "you're on cnn! the show that leads into me is puppets making crank phone calls!" lol john, MARRY ME!

  • Comedy Show To Be Canceled! Reports are saying the Daily Show is about to be canceled because low ratings. Comedy channel says "we can't keep loosing money". You can't blame them, Jon just does not have it anymore. Same report said Jon is Sad.

  • @paulstrong123=DON'T LISTEN TO THIS DUMBASS!

  • @paulstrong123 From "By the Numbers"

"The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" Tops All Late Night Cable Series In February Among Total Viewers, Persons 18-49, Persons 18-34, Men 18-34 And Men 18-24

    – MARCH 1, 2011

POSTED IN: LATE NIGHT TV RATINGS, NETWORK TV PRESS RELEASES

  • @mrkaiser1988 I wouldn't say the last. There's a whole association of very rich people (including Bill Gates and Warren Buffet) who WANT their taxes raised. Because they recognize that they'll have more money than they'll ever need that not everyone deserves to be a millionaire, but no one deserves to starve or suffer if they get sick.

  • John is a dumb ass with very low ratings! He is a "has been". Not funny any more Jon! NEXT!

  • @paulstrong123 Is this wut u do? Go around bashing John Stewert on Facebook. Like the previous person said to you. He drew an estimated 200,000 people to Washington. The guys obviously not that dumb.

  • @paulstrong123

Actually, according to tv by the numbers, The Daily Show took the top slot in the month of February as most viewed late night cable series among all persons 18-39, and men 18-34. Followed by the Colbert Report, then Conan. I

  • Who could care what jon stewart has to say about anything he's a male wooopeeee goldbeg

  • This Guy is awesome,

  • "How old are you?"

    "35"

    "And you wear a bow-tie?"

    Utterly. Destroyed.

  • I like the Daily Show, but I have to call out Stewart on this one. He can't go on other shows, criticize them, then when the same critiques are leveled at his show, hide behind the whole "well it's just a comedy show" bit.

  • @germka why not. his show is a comedy show. it's on the comedy channel. CNN=cable news network.

  • It's ok for Jon Stewart to call people out on being partisan when he clearly is the biggest partisan hack on TV. Watch and compare how tough he is on Conservatives & gives lollipop interviews to liberals.

  • @BlackRepublican2010 But he is a comedian! You are complaining about hypocrites while the whole point he was making about the media being a joke is ignored. HELLO! Okay so what if Stewart is a leftist hypocrite, it still doesnt change the fact that the media is a joke. And the simple fact that Jon is willing to say that on tv shows he is far more honest in a journalist sense then those dopes sitting on opposite sides.

  • a hundred years from now stewart better be in the history books, its shit like this that he does that opens peoples eyes to the bs in our media and political systems.

  • 666666 viewers???

  • yes people watch your show now be responsible, face it it is more than comedy show now and stop hiding behind the word comedy. i agree with tucker which surprises even me, but your lectures are boring. stick to comedy and stay out of serious politicals and telling people what they shoudl be doing. stay being a clown.

  • You have to take into context when this video actually aired as well as what was said. When he went on Crossfire, The Daily Show wasn't a main source of punditry, it still mostly featured gag news stories that were completely fake--it would be a while longer before it grew into what it is today. It didn't have any real responsibility yet. These days, yes. He would be held more accountable. But like Jon points out himself, at that time in history, his lead-in was Crank Yankers, not real news.

  • your lectures are boring! zapp on stewart

  • stewart is starting to get in my nerves. he is open to criticize anybody and when he is criticized he can just go well what do you expect, I have a comedy show. stewart is nothing more than a pompous ego-maniac. unfortunately, he's just like the rest of them.

  • I love you, Jon Stewart.

  • Man Jon Stewart totally blew Tucker out of the water on his own show. As George Carlin said "Fuck Tucker, Tucker sucks".

  • "We need help from the media, and they're hurting us."

    *audience applauds*

    I love that moment.

  • "The show that leads into me is puppets making prank phone calls, what is wrong with you?"

This would be funny if it weren't so terrible. What is wrong with these people?

  • Jon Stewart for president

  • @UncleStumpy ew

  • Personally I think Michael Vick should have been executed.

  • @metalebd

    Lol'd

  • Damn that geek Carlson got owned!!!!

  • Jon Stewart, one of the most patriotic tv personalities in America

  • oh snap!

  • Bowties are cool!

  • Tucker Carlson is a dick.

  • @briantotse3 Is that the cocksucker in the bowtie?

  • This video many times more amazing and profound now...and it was huge back then. The take down is a classic, but what Jon was saying is much more important and prophetic. Normal Americans must rise up and take back their country.

  • @11matt11 its sad when inspiration to 'stand up' comes from a comedian who clearly knows little about politics, and just enough to spot a fraud here and there, but not enough to know he's just a pawn himself.

  • @CytherLynx

yes. c'mon stewart, your show is now more than just comedy. however he keeps hiding into this safe haven of oh "but i should not have this responsibility becuase i am just a comedy show" give me a break stewart.

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM

Jon Stewart knocks em out the box with that bowtie joke haha

  • Wow I HATE Tucker.

  • Served on National TV 35 and you wear a bowtie. Priceless.

  • destroys. both. of. them.

    2 children and john stewart

  • Stewart criticizes Dems ALL the time. True, you're really not going to have an indepth understanding of the issues by just watching the Daily Show. However, Stewart isn't afraid to bring up subjects that the mainstream media is afraid to, and you're not going to get the political hackery, lies, and spin of Fox.

  • Jon Stewart is soooo unbias.. with his clapping seal audience. same with Bill Maher, both are obviously democrats.

  • @quezcatol Both aren't held to be unbiased... Jon Stewart's and Bill Maher's shows are personality driven. You cannot tell me that Bill O'Reilly, or Glenn Beck, or Rush Limbaugh aren't biased. The whole point of Maher's, O'Reilly's, Beck's, and Limbaugh's shows are that they are personality driven, so they aren't expected to be unbiased. And I don't really have to defend Stewart do I? His show is purely satire it doesn't matter if he is biased or not.

  • John Stewart is the sole reason why this show got canned! LOL

  • this was funny ^_^

  • Crossfire was a joke, but Stewart is hardly innocent here. He knows college kids use his show for political news and he has no problem feeding them left-slanted views under the guise of "making fun of all politics." I loved to see Stewart dismantle these Crossfire idiots, but Stewart is a hypocrite.

  • @wbttk "the show that leads into me is puppets making prank phone calls. what is wrong with you?"

The daily show is a comedy show, and not just because Jon Stewart says it. It's not a "guise". You should tell those college kids.

  • @wbttk Stewart IS a comedian. If college kids are using his show as news source, that's not his problem.

  • Stewart WAS a comedian 1st, political commentator 2nd when the show first began. NOW, Stewart is a political commentator who wraps his views in comedy.... and who gets off on being Fox News for college kids.

He's just as bad. I credit his ego though. Obama tried to turn that interview into his personal ranting platform and Stewart wasn't having any of that. He basically out-alpha'd the president to take his show back. I loved Stewart that night.

  • @wbttk Stewart is entitled to his own political opinions. Comedians aren't supposed to be objective journalists.

  • @wbttk jon stewart is not a hypocrite. he knows his show is a comedy show and he also knows that college kids probably watch his show and see it as a news source. i see it as a news source. it is a very fair and balanced news source in my opinion. yeah he makes fun of the right a lot but he also makes fun of the left and criticizes them too. it's not just republicans and conservatives. jon stewart is, in my opinion, an incredibly smart man and i love listening to him and watching his show.

  • I've been watching his show from day one. Comedy is just a tool now to deliver political news. I'm not blaming him. His audience wanted it, and he gave it to them. That's not the problem.

Liberals who think Stewart is balanced are just like conservatives who think Fox News is balanced. Anyone in the middle can see that neither is anywhere close. There's a reason conservatives defend Fox News - it expresses their viewpoints. There's also a reason liberals defend Stewart.

  • @wbttk i understand that Jon makes fun of conservatives and republicans more than liberals and democrats, but he still doesn't fully side with either. and also FOX news and all these other news organizations are just that, news organizations. these are the shows that should not be biased in any respects. The Daily Show is not really a political show more than it is a comedy show. if a news organization has shows that are biased in any way i don't see that as a news source. more an opinion source

  • Stewart is the defacto liberal news media show because MS-NBC and CNN have given liberals ZERO compelling media personalities to rally behind. Stewart even said this on his own show in an interview with Fox's Chris Wallace.

Stewart is a godsend for liberals. He's dynamic, left, and enormous in the media. His prominence and "it" factor fills a huge gap for liberals looking for their O'Reilly. And they are. Otherwise, they wouldn't be going to Comedy Central for news.

  • @wbttk HOW?!?

THIS IS...COMEDY CENTRAL WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE, POLITICIANS HAVE NO BUSINESS ON A SHOW DEDICATED 24/7 TO COMEDY! ...SLAP-STICK, CRUNCHY CHEWY (OXYMORON...GET IT), ONE-LINERS THAT EVEN THE SIMPSONS character -The one that eats glue past- WOULD BE LIKE... "DUDE, THAT IS SO '91"

Yeah that last part may not happen to make much sense as a very good counter-argument; However! That's just the point!...comedy central is just that! nonsensical while CNN is much more serious! Hello?

  • @Sileni

Lots of people, whether they want to admit it or not, use Stewart's show for their primary political news source. How come they don't go to CNN, MSNBC, FOX?" For a huge chunk of Stewart's demo, average college kids, watching the news is incredibly boring. Instead, they watch college kid stuff (ie, Comedy Central). The problem is that their only real exposure to anything resembling a political commentator is Stewart. They worship him and his slant without playing devil's advocate = bad.

  • @wbttk I will concede only "temporarily" until am able to come back with a more...um, suitable rebuttle. Good Day, sir/madam! Good, bloody, day!

  • Haha I love how there audience claps for Jon

  • who's this idiot with the bow tie? the little prick wouldn't shut up for 2 seconds he's like a child of 5! The other guy was just tryin to suck stewart's dick! it took 2 of them to sort of quell stewart in a corner.(ok i know its called crossfire you dumb fuck) why? because he's a comedian and might make fun of me again! Nope, its because he has a brain!!! the media has again proved their slanderer right! thank you.

  • How many Americans here think that HRMacQuacken shouldn't be allowed to troll on You Tube with his horrible crooked yellow brain?

  • @DJJazzyJake (who doesn't exist) I called HRMacQuacken a little perverted NAZI, (which he is) so that's a statement of fact.

My American friends know I care about the US and the fact that 24 Canadians died in the Towers.

HRMacQuacken said he was going to piss on the graves of Canadians who died fighting in Afghanistan to keep North America safe.

He also posts disgusting perverted sexual fantasies.

Quackhead works for Al Qaida by spreading hate and distrust amongst Americas allies.

  • How many Americans here think that Brits have horrible crooked yellow teeth?

  • @DJJazzyJake

Yeah, I saw QABWARRIOR on another video calling Americans Nazis. He also said that he thought it was hilarious when the towers were destroyed. I have already reported him to Homeland Security. Maybe they can convince YouTube to cancel his account.

  • This is not that provocative. Jon Stewart-s aww shucks I am just a comedian and therefore can-t be held accountable the direction my interviews takes is a low point and hypocritical. I tune into Comedy Central for its ability to skewer Fox News, and that is about it. I find most of Stewart-s interviews BLOWN opportunities in which he cloyingly moves the interviewee to not very funny punch lines.

  • I feel what you're saying. But I think the point Stewart attempts to make is that yes, he dabbles in politics and points out the absurdity/craziness of it all. but his mission is not to educate so much as it is to entertain. I watch his show and often get frustrated when he goes from HIS commentary to one of his correspondents. At that point, the news ends and the "comedy" begins. But then I have to go back to his point, he's not there to teach people about current events just to satirize them

  • Stewart no more dabbles in politics than Jim Rome dabbles in sports. That Stewart is just a satirist following a puppet show belies the large institutional backing, research, and ideologically driven context in which he operates. Cross Fire's debate format (NOT JOURNALISM!!) was a set up for its entertainment; Comedy Central's satire is a set up for not so covert politicking. Both shows meet, with differing degrees of success, at more or less the same admixture of politics and entertainment.

  • TC the creep.

  • TC the child mole$ter...

  • TC the child molester.

  • Have you noticed that comedians are typically smarter than political analysts?

  • @skydome29

Just ignore QABWARRIOR. He is pedo, trolling YouTube you little boys. Sick bastard.

  • Attention:

You may have noticed this QABWAARIOR wierdo posting strange comments. He is a troll. He posts hate and sick sexual crap all over YouTube, especially on American vids like this. I would suggest everyone ignore this wierdo. If he starts sending you sexually deviant emails, report him immediately and reference the offending emails.

  • @HRMacQuacken Over 33% of your You Tube posts are of a sexual nature FREAKSHOW, not mine.

YOU ARE A LITTLE SEXUAL DEVIANT and everyone needs to stay away from YOU and your DISGUSTING LITTLE IMAGINATION.

    PERVERT TROLL!

  • @HRMacQuacken Attention : I am a 17st Brit with a punch like a donkey's kick, who would like like nothing more than to meet up with you in a parking lot, to see how much of a man you really are.

  • @PurplePunisher69

Go brush your yellow teeth Brit.

  • @HRMacQuacken Oh no, he's on the tiresome dental put-downs . How will I ever come back from that one ?

  • @PurplePunisher69 You may as well snap that toothbrush in half and give up now....

My condolences to you on your imaginary dental issues.

But wait! I send you imaginary DENTAL HEALTH and you can live happy with normal teeth once again!

Isn't the imagination great! Too bad it's wasted on some.

  • @OABW4RR10R Well we all know which end Macquacken shoves his brush before he goes to bed. Must be tough not being able to distinguish haemorrhoids from toothache

  • @PurplePunisher69 Ahhh it all becomes clear now.... THAT'S why so much sh*t comes out of his mouth!

    Preperation H is NOT Toothpaste!

  • @PurplePunisher69 He's really scraping the barrel for the "copy and Paste" bait to get attention.

Note that he's a little crybaby so it isn't fair to compare him to a real man.

  • @skydome29 If you hadn't noticed, this "warrior" person is a perv. He posts hate all over YouTube. Notice how he is talking about have sex with his wife. As if anyone cares. What a wierdo.

  • @HRMacQuacken What do you hope to achieve by following me all over You Tube posting your dirty sexual comments and fantasies?

Your a sick little FREAKSHOW and you need a therapist NOW!

  • @JCWatsontheThird yeah, I know John Steward is a liberal, but he is funny. Also, unlike many leftist, he is not necessarily an ideologue.
