Do you still think Americans are monsters? The Japanese are the filthiest war criminals. Even the mass murder of the jews by the nazis was nothing compared to what Japan did during the war. They were lucky to recieve only two bombs.

@Bobcheloo yeah, i know that also japan did a lot o terrible thing during the war, that not only the nazis were cruel criminals, but most of the people in Hiroshima and Nagazaki were just mothers and chilren, just inocent civillians.

Nanking, China, 1937. The Japanese army invaded the city. 300 000 chinese innocent citizens were killed. Men were decapitated, bayonneted, burned alive or even blown up by land mines. 20 000 women and young girls were raped by the japanese soldiers. Women were stabbed in their vagina afterwards until they eventually died. Pregnant women were raped and shot in the stomach. Chinese men were forced to rape their wife, their daughters and their elders. Brothers were forced to rape their sisters.

@SlySquriel OK look, about 130,000 civilians died. if US didn't drop the bomb they would have probably invaded resulting in probably 10x as more deaths. this was the best way to end the war with the fewest deaths. would you rather have a million dead or 130,000? fucking japs killed hundreds of thousands of civilians, karma just turned around and bit them in the ass.......

If you read the manga, 'Gen', or rather Keiji Nakazawa, criticises the Japanese for the terrible things they did during the war; to the prisoners of war, to the Koreans, to the Chinese, to their own citizens. I think the message of Gen has nothing to do with the Americans and the British being evil and the Japanese being victims, but everyone being a victim of war-mongering dictators who ordered the damn war in the first place. Let's not punish so many for the atrocities of so few.

The bombings were technically retaliation to Pearl Harbor, but it was way more devastating and waaaaayy too far. Plus eftultimate is right, but in the sense that retaliating to Pearl Harbor was wrong, and the US would have managed by just proceeding with the war, not taking it to such an extreme and unethical level. Overall, the killing of innocents, with what you said,is wrong
