Do Minis have knee curtains bags? I'm thinking of getting the Ford Fiesta and they have that. If I get a Mini, it would most certainly be an 03-06 because I am buying used.
@supercooled they do. but if you passionately prefer a mini go for it. if you get an auto your going to end up replace the transmission for another auto and spend 7Gs. if you go standard and if you switch the transmission fluid once a year the gearbox will last you for apprx 90,000 miles (maybe a bit more) leaving you to spend to purchase a GETRAG transmission (S-type minis have em) which is apprx 4Gs to buy and install. its a problematic car. Go S for less prblms. fix up th chasis 1st too.
the thing is do they make a test with something moving at it?????? cuz what about a mini going 50-90 mph...what about that and a semi going maybe going 50-70 mph.....the MINI is gonna get a lot more force...won't it????
They have done those tests too, I believe, and one can't give more force than the other. The force is equal but the momentum is different which is what causes more damage.

my daddy just bought my twin sister and i mini coopers for our sweet sixteen, my mini is a gold convertable with black stripes, and hers is a pearly white convertable with black stripes. It is perfect for living in california :D
@triggerhappybullets Because they sincerely care about their parenting and take notice to the fact that it is their responsablity to care for us for the period of time when they are raising us. Jealous much?
@bLOVEDxx well, that means that they wont have you work for it. they will just give you it, that just means that your lazy and have to rely on your parents to get you a car
Well, you would need a new front end for any car with that kind of impact. Personally, I happen to think it's good that the windshield stays intact; I wouldn't want pointy shards of glass flying at my face at high speeds.
Just drive carefully people : if you get involved collision while you are driving over 80km or even on the highway, it doesn't matter what car you are driving and how good a crash profmance it had shown, the chance of survival would be nil.
just to clear this up, the plural of mini is mini not minis and certainly not mini's. Furthermore logothedestroyer you were attempting to correct an issue of punctuation not grammar.
Actually, the airbag did what's it's suppose to do. It's suppose to act as a cushion once the head strikes it. If it didn't let air out, it'll be like your head hitting a rock and completely loose it's purpose. If you're talking about the violent head movement after impact, that will happen in any car. If you were kept completely immobile, you would absorb more engergy from the impact. To the untrained eye, this looks horrific. But cars are made to break apart and the Mini held up very well.
These is about the K energy at crash moment, calculating the energy between the body and the security belt u can easily note the impressive pression which is submitted the body...is an impressive effort for the rib cage

The window was open on the driver's side so you fail to see the severity of the impact of the dummy's head on the glass! So this test is below standard and not reliable!
Does it look like the seatbelt didn't work very well? The dummy's head rolled off of the bag and hit the door really hard - I thought it looked like a nasty head injury.
The dummies head fuckin missed the air bag ! Fuck it I'm getting rid of my mini

Safe? the dummies head hit the door paneling.
That crash would cause severe injury.
cokemachine 3 years ago
It's because of the structure of the dummie. Human body will not move like that in a similar situation.

the dummy is humanoid, same bones end even faked organs, it will move exactly like that
