I thought the propeller would have spun clockwise because the blades look like that they are ment to spin that way because of the pointed tip of the blades not the rounded edges on the anit clockwise rotation. Also the propeller looks like it would have more pitch to push the water that way.

the curved edges are the lead edge. In this kind of test the propeller is in a "tractor" set up. The tips are the outermost trailing edge.
