  • Pure awesomeness!

  • This is awesome!!! I LOVE ENKA SONGS and this is one of my favorite =)

  • His father is black and his mother is Japanese, wanna hear something funny about this whole argument?Only stupid fucking Americans are trying to lable him. As always.

  • real life killerbee eight tails yeah

  • He sounds a lot like the guy who sings the themes for Galaxy Express 999. Not just his style, but his actual voice. Sounds very nice.

  • this is an awesome mix of cultures!!! I love it!

  • Im all about drama!! this performance and his voice SO DRAMATIC!!! i so love it!!!!

  • I hope he becomes much more famous, and his videos have more views! This is really very amazing and unexpected. It's quite respectable to have learned Japanese, it's a difficult language!

  • @OnlyMusic16

The language itself is not very hard to learn.

It's pretty respectable to be able sing this well however.

  • @JrockNerd LOL, I've been trying to learn Japanese for years. It is a category 3 language as classified by the U.S. Department of State -- which means it is among the most difficult (at least for Americans). So if you had it easy, awesome for you. ^_^ The rest of us will just struggle through it. *cries* *sweats* *bleeds from the ears and nose*

  • @j3ss4ndr4

I have studied and am studying Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Spanish and English.

And to perfectly honest, Japanese is by far the easiest to learn imo, at least to speak, writing is hard however, it also all depends on how much time and effort you're willing to put down , maybe americans have it harder than swedish people, I don't know, but doubt it really.

  • @OnlyMusic16 -_-...he was born in japan he isnt some random nigger who sailed there...

  • @AntiChristClub Er no, he was born in the US but he was mostly raised by his Japanese grandmother which was why he was exposed to Japanese so early in his life.

  • @TitanAres I stand corrected,Not a fan of him anyway =D I like Ryhmester and Tm Revolt

  • it's weird. at first when i saw crystal kay i wasn't so sure then i started looking into blackaness. black with asain blood and came up on a lot mostly women but to see man is a surprise.

  • O__O

He sounds like he could be Gackt's older brother.

  • @nobodyfromnowhere Really? He sounds more like he could be Gackt's younger brother to me o_o

  • (when you are not lazy)that day comes never i bet :P

  • @RDilus ... shhh, no one needs to know that.

  • I LOVE HIS VOICE AND HE IS GOOD LOOKING TOOO :)

  • それは本当に兄の男よ!..我々は、すべての色かもしれませんが、愛は普遍的である... 5月は、あなたの旅のステレオタイプや人種差別を終わらせることを祝福するよ!

  • OMG <3

  • dude he is sexy... and his voice is not inline with his lips lmao.... looks like he lip syncing

  • @lovbb16 Maybe the video is not line up right but Jero does not have to lip sing.I hop you know he is known in Asia,US Europe etc.He made history being the frist black Enka singer in Japan.

  • @Giagiaon i know he doesn't lip sing but it looks like it.. i have seen his other vids where he is singing and doesn't look fake.. it is as if they put the vid and the song together but was a little off o3o

  • @lovbb16 I understand now what you meant.I sorry if i came across negative.with you I didn't mean to (smile) I think he's cute in most of his vids.

  • race has nothing to do with it, only talent. your not gonna get famous cause your black white whatever, jero got fanous by his voice.he has a very pleasing voice, ad yes probably being gaijin helped, but his oice is good.

  • He amazes me 0-0

  • Great song.

    Haters gonna hate.

  • Oh wow! I'm Jamaican, there might be hope for me making it in Japan ^_^ His voice rules

  • @guitargeekette You sing enka? If you're brave enough, maybe you should try posting your music on Youtube to see what they think.

  • i love his voice!

  • race is nothing if you want to persue your dreams. Im black and i want to be a korean singer. AINT NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!

  • damn it, the audio is lagging lol....

  • My Japanese teacher has the biggest crush on him.

  • holy shamoly what an amazing voice, he opened his mouth and I was like wow

daym too bad the vid is not too good and the sound does not match with the vid.

  • Saw Jero in San Francisco this afternoon.

    What a concert.

    Much success to you Jero-san.

  • About the Japanese, it depends on the person. Some may view him as gaijin (outsider), but others may view him as family. It's just like how we handle things here. Japan really changed in the last 30 years.

  • Another note, I wish people would leave out race. We're all humans with dreams and goals.

  • This guy is boss! Seriously, you got to have BALLS to be this clean. I think that he's bringing back some interest among the younger generations of Japan with this traditional style. About his appearance, I think that he's being true to his style yet at the same time is able to draw in diverse crowds into this culture. I think more people should experiment the way this guy does. I see genius, skill and passion in this guy.

  • He's so great! I wish I could hear his grandma!

  • awsome i just found him awhile a go and he is black yeahhh!!! lol im olive brown

  • One of the most misleading things I've ever seen lol.

  • damn never judge d book by its cover... damn thought dis was gona be another rap mainstream shit again.......i wus wrong

  • A friend introduced me to Jero's music a few years ago and I've been a fan ever since. Not only of him, but Enka in general. . . It's a really cool style.

Anyway, Jero is amazing, but he needs a stylist desperately. I'd be willing to help him for free, haha.

  • jero was born in New York.

  • REALLLLY? I got confused! I thought he was born and raised in Philly~!

  • he was born in pittsburg

  • Dude! His voice is awesome!! :-O

  • This gives me hope. I am wanting to do a job in Japan and Jero and all the other foreign people help me realize that I m able to get a job there and make a difference even though I am not Japanese.

  • Urm, sorry 2 burst ur bubble, but Jero is not a foreigner, he's Japanese.

If u doubt me, Google him, or some shit

  • Half Jap is still a foreigner for Japaneses.

  • Really???.... & how would u know that?

I'm pretty certain I'm far more knowledgable about Japanese culture, customs & history than u will ever be.

He has from wot I know, got a Japanese passport & even if I'm wrong, he is seen as a genuine Japanese person

  • lmao, ye ye. If u didnt know that Japaneses are one of the most racist people on earth then u dont know shiet! Thats some pretty good knowledge you got there!

  • 'RACIST'??? Ur babbling bollocks there lad

lmfao anyway, muslims r the worst racists on earth

  • @eastsideb I'm sure it would be difficult to find the society that has no racists in it, and i suppose you would get different reports depending upon who you ask. But my (black) south african friend who has lived in several countries during his life insists that he encountered less racism in japan than anywhere else. This included america and a couple of european countries. He has now chosen to remain in japan permanently, btw.

  • wow... *faves* im in love!!!!

  • Man, I was so happy to see him on the 60th Kohaku program..

It's become impossible to find his stuff online now XD

  • Holy s*** didn't expect that kind of voice to come out of his body... WOW He is amazing!!! :)

    God Bless ~Amy

  • wow, he sings better japanese than japanese!

  • YEAH!

  • ok...soooo i LOVE HIM lol i never would have know if i wasnt looking at a Crystal Kay vid and someone said something about him!!!

  • which video is he in? Cause I am a fan of both of them.

  • Oh no he is not in any videos of hers ( that i know of) i was saying that i have been a fan of crystal kay and i was watching a video and in the comments someone said something about Jero!

  • hahaha wow same here! (excluding the love him thing) I found him through Crystal Kay, but I was looking for someone else through her. And I did find her! :D Thelma Aoyama I thought she was part black but it turns out she trinadadian

  • @DreDeshawn Afro-Trinidadians are the second largest ethnic group in Trinidad - they're blacks - there are many blacks in the West Indies.

  • This is AMAZING!!

  • dude wow

  • FTW! =D

  • impossible to find a torrent with his music :O

  • why the hell are we arguing about his race? he's talented, that's all that matters! maybe one day we'll open our minds and think BEYOND race labels!

  • humanity got different races. Nothing wrong with that.

  • wow amazing voice =)

  • 0w0, that is awesome ^^

  • I really like how he can have so much courage and go up there and sing japanese as an African American !

    he's amazing :D

And what I love about him the most is...He accomplished his child hood dream...You really can do anything if you believe and have god..

  • he's part japanese...

  • Yeah I know :) He's 1/4 , but in America I think if you have 40% or more black in you , you're consiidering African Americans. Evene the Japanese call him African American...

  • No, they call him kokujin.

  • rofl! i heard of it before ;p

  • @vnano What does kokujin mean?

  • black guy

  • black person!

  • Comment removed

  • And Amazon International Music section here I come

  • Wow he really does have a great voice. I didn't believe it when I first heard of Jero. Main reason becuase I have never heard a black Japanese singer before.

  • O_o I totally thought this was gonna be a Rap Song D:

But still he has a nice voice ^^

  • wow!

    that was pretty much awesome!

when i first heard of it in class, i thought it was kind of weird...hip hop clothing, traditional japanese songs...but it all worked out fine!

  • i really admire him so young and promising.impressive. one of a kind performance and powerful voice. HANPA JANAI

  • he's gorgeous and he has a beautiful voice x

  • Yeah, that's 演歌 for you!

  • He must marry me.

Seriously, he is my dream guy!!

  • I'm from the Philippines but I can't help but be in awe of Jero. He grew to love Enka out of love and respect for his grandmother and mom, something that can inspire our kids today. I don't understand the lyrics but that's not important. What is important is that you can see that he sings from the heart. Peace and love everyone!

  • i think this is awesome.. it flows soo well.. this couldve been something that easily falls into the Kill Bill vol.1 album

  • :)
