@pinkcheckerd : where did you live in Europe? In Germany, this "clunker" would go away for at least 10k. I´ve just checked the net, and I found 5 or 6 limousines like this, and they were all between 7000 and 14000 Euro, which is $11000 - $20000.
And. there are many vintage american cars in Germany. Many people over here love e.g. the Cadillac Allante, oder the Chrysler TC, or the early 90´s Buick, or... or...

that whole program was disgusting! And the owners of these cars are gullible MORONS! Sooo many beautiful cars were killed because of this program... Rest in peace you wonderful cars! I saw a 2003 Lincoln towncar signature series in the clunker lot! I wanted so badly to buy it, but they refused saying it was to be sent to be destroyed! what a tragic waste.
