As for the money, yes, 214 million is a lot and this deal will hurt the Tigers in about six-years. As for right now, it's a win now move. No chance Cabrera gets traded. Zimmerman would be 33 at the end of it and maybe thinking about moving him over to first to maybe get a third basemen of the future. With Prince there they could never do anything like that.
