Everyone ought to stop arguing which is better. I mean are you guys 10 years old? Seriously get over it. Everquest and WoW have their strengths and weaknesses. Ultima Online, Guild Wars, Everquest, WoW and some free MMOs are pretty good. I always liked Everquest. It was a pretty good MMO and still is. I just wish we didn't have to pay to play it, which I think is bullshit, but oh well it was still fun.
Face it everyone...That game is old now..And everyone knows WoW is the best MMORPG now...All people who say it sucks means they can't pay for personal reasons, but don't say it sucks only that you can't pay for it
wow aint got shit on eq.. going deep in a dungeon and being afraid to die was an epic feeling. now all mmos just respawn you with everything and give you tiny penalties... pftt in eq if you died a fist would come out of the screen and punch you in the balls fo real
Everquest will Never die!!!, and will always remind 2nd to Wow BUT SHOULD REANUB IN 1st PLACE!!!!! personally i'm a fan of Everquest 2 echoes of faydwer but the 1st one....tried it...couldn't understand it...so maybe playing it FREE on a emulator using the old classic version of the game before SOE touched it will give me a better experience
I still laugh, even though Sony made the huge mistake with a few expansions, they have most likely learned the lesson from EQ and EQ2 and Vanguard. if EQ was to ever hit the shelves, I am pretty sure they would go back to the hardcore that EQ use to be.
Also the funny part is EQ still has more to offer compared to every other MMORPG out there. there are like over 6 expansion, more classes and races, more ways to make your character unique, etc etc. EQ still is the better game.

I play WoW now... it's fun, yes, and makes a lot of improvements over EQ... but it's nowhere near as good as EQ used to be. I love both games, but EQ today... just, no. Not enough players left to make it fun, it's still a buggy mess of crashes, the zone load times...

how is wow alot like everquest ? wow isnt even close to everquest, and i played both games, and i still play everquest and prefer everquest. . . . . difference #1, everquest doesnt have cartoonish grafix . . #2 everquest has high end raid content . . . #3 you never compare a baby game to the grand daddy of all MMO's . . . . thank you very much . . . .

WTF, this was the first version of EverQuest which came long before WoW. Plus WoW is alot like EverQuest so there's not that much to compare.
