  • Empress or eventide? Playing live which is more usuer friendly on the fly? Great vids!

  • can someone please do a pedal shootout of the vmsd vs. the strymon el capistan?

  • YOU GUYZ !! WHAT A KILLER STUFF , it is TRUE BYPASS PIZ ?

  • @dobermann1973 yes it is

  • .8th tapping?

  • How does this pedal compare to the Mad Professor Delay?

  • @Alu122112211221 They are both high quality digital delays that are designed to have the best tone qualities of analog. The repeats on the Mad Prof are slightly darker than the standard mode of the Empress. Just ask yourself what you need (tap tempo, presets, tone control, modulation) We would recommend either! Thanks,

    -PGS

  • Is the only difference between the Euro version and normal version the power supply? Both versions can be used internationally?

  • Andy, are you running this straight in the front of the amp or through an effects loop ?

  • @flikbone1 - Straight in. We use a Fender DRRi for our vids...no effects loop. Thanks!

  • The Timefactor does more and is cheaper. I don't get how these companies make one trick ponies and sell it for more than the Timefactor. I'm an analog delay fanatic, but I'll put the Timefactor against any delay. This does tape amazing, but that's it. It's just not worth it.

  • You need to correct the info you are providing... It does not operate on a higher voltage. The specs are identical between this and the regular model. Plus, it doesn't make a difference whether you use 9 or 12 volts for either model... both regulate 12 volts internally to 9 volts.

  • Just ordered one from PGS yesterday. Are you using the Tap button to create a sound on sound effect? Does the tap also double as a hold button?

  • If I had this I would never go outside again!

  • if i were rich I would buy this

  • I was swimming in that 'old tape' setting at 2:13.

  • ANDY, SHOW US YOUR PEDAL BOARD!!! Lol... This thing sounds awesome, did they give it away already at PGS? Man... I wish I'd won it... I can't afford it otherwise... :'(

  • @darkrreaver Andy discusses his pedalboard in his column "Andy's Corner". You can subscribe on the website.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos

Where can i find this column? Searched already on your website but couldn't find anything.

    Thanks

  • Is your DRRI stock?

  • Holybejeezus this has a shitload of settings. Might take a while to get used to.

  • how does this compare with the memory lane is this pedal analog or digital. coz if its digital it sounds so close to analog

  • @NickWeiland it is digital. I have one since 2 months ago and i have no regrets. It's great!

  • @AbrahamMegchun do you think the original or the vintage modified is a better buy?

  • it's digital. IMO the memory lane is the winner when it comes to pure analog sounds. But the Superdelay isn't far from there. I'd probably like to have both in one rig because the Superdelays features.

  • Its Digital but IMO it beats the crap out of the Memory Lane.

  • @NickWeiland In general, the new breed of digital pedals that are modeled to sound analog like this one are a really good compromise, offering the flexibility and compatibility of digital with the warmer tones reminiscent of analog. While this pedal won't necessarily "nail" a true analog tone, it's good enough for most people's ears and that's all that matters.

  • sounds awesome!

  • great pedal just got mine a couple weeks ago, its smaller than it looks, my only complaint is the trails function only works in one mode, however you can basically work around that by getting an expression pedal and controlling the mix with it, still it would have been nice to have an additional switch for that so it could work in each mode

  • how much did u pay for it?

  • @f1sk8mm How do you get the delay to trail. Just got one and I can't figure it out.

  • i think its misc mode c

  • I probably have 15 years on Andy, but when I grow up...I wanna play like him!!

  • By the way, does anyone know where we could find some music from Andy? He's such a classy player, I'd love to hear more.

  • You can tell Andy likes a good delay pedal : )

  • this pedal is alot but.. its worth every penny what great delays this pedal has... \m/

  • Yeah...I'd also like to see Andy's dream pedalboard.

  • Great demo as always Andy. I was thinking, now that you done this many demos and tried more pedals than most of us, it would be very interesting to see what YOUR personal dreamboard would look like :-) (or looks like)

I'm sure, I'm not the only one who has had that thought!! :-)

  • @AlexGuitar1987 & dmanes1011

All I know about Andy's setup is that he uses a Korg Toneworks vibe and an Echoplex.

  • best delay out!!

  • Oh god I wish I was rich just so I could have this pedal. Some day...

  • I really want to get this pedal, does anyone know how long the looper is? Also what is the function of the mix knob?

  • boss only makes one pedal worth getting.

    their tuner.

  • I totaly agree

  • @br0sely: The TU-2 is not worth getting. The Korg Pitchblack is about $10 cheaper, 100% True Bypass, more accurate by 2 whole cents, has more display modes, you can calibrate it, most people find it easier to read, it's slighly smaller, and its lighter while having the same durability.

So in a nutshell, Boss pedals are not worth getting.

  • @Kiwiconsumer some people really like the buffer in the boss tuner. I for one don't but many do.

  • I agree

  • LOL. Nah man I like there loop station.. eq pedal... metal core... and ds something pedal. o.o''

  • Boss pedals are like marijuanna, an affordable gateway drug into the world of pedals. You'll quickly grow weary of them and look for a better 'high' from better quality pedals like Empress, Fulltone, Devi Ever, Earthquaker Devices and so on...

  • their delays are very versatile but very DIGITAL

  • @br0sely Yeah, and there are better tuners. I do like some of the Keeley mods, they make boss pedals sounds pretty decent. I'm also interested in the Rocket Ride Boss Mods.

  • @br0sely not true, their delay pedals in my opinion are worth it.

  • You ship worldwide? Wow!

  • i have a boss re-20 and i thought that was good enough but jeeezz, i want this one now =[

  • if andy made an album, it would be badass

  • cool

  • That thing sounds freakin awesome

  • i love ur videos!!!

can u please do a review on the digitech rp500??

im wondering if i shoud buy that as my first multieffects processor.

  • i love how it has the delay that isnt quick and starts right after you hit a string

  • Awesome!!! You guys from PGS ship overseas???

  • We ship Worldwide everyday!

  • They haven't already demoed this pedal??

  • @iansivirino the title says "Pt.2" = part two

  • Oh, haha.

I haven't seen that, sorry... But it was a long time since they pulled out the Pt. 1...

BTW, this is a mother f*ckin' pedal, it's the delay that i want (if i have the money obviously)...

  • I used to not like this pedal, but I was dumb. Brian Beyke made me like this pedal. He's the man.

  • Sounds like .. well I can't think of anything quite like it..! =) It's amazing, sounds like AMAZINGNESS then haha! =D

  • It's a nice looking box, but it has a serious volume drop on that looper mode. I'd rather buy a real nice analog delay and a digital delay for the same price.

  • Oh on that note... They should do a smackdown between this and the echolution...

  • SOOOOO hard to choose between this sucker and the pigtronix echolution... :( I like the tone of this better, but the options of the pigtronix better... :( DECISIONS DECISIONS!!!!!

  • Nice, Another Brick in the Wall!

  • lot of opportunities! of course i want it!

  • Nice James Brown licks!

  • It's just a DREAM !!!

    And what about the overdrive?

  • Yep, what kind of distortion was the one at the beginnng? Was it from the amp??

  • @MiLemonPie Rockbox Boiling Point

  • Fuuuuuu..... christmas is over!

Anyway, finally a pedal that looks and sound awsome!

  • love everything about it..except the price!. but still it's so sweet!

  • too bad it costs an arm and a leg...

  • could've sworn this was put up before

but i never get tired of that tone

  • Man, I want it!!

  • nice loop jam!

  • Sounds awesome... Too bad it's super-expensive haha.

  • Yeah I know the video is of the delay, but Andy's got a good crunch sound going on!
