Usually all of the beaches on Marco Island are warm and this beach is particularly clean. Also, while a lot of the sand on the beaches of Marco Island and some of the gulf coast is rough and full of broken shells the sand on Tiger Tail is soft, and extremely fine. The shelling opportunities are also very nice. In addition, because Tiger Tail Beach is not directly attached to any hotel and requires a (very modest) fee to enter it is much less crowded than the other beaches.
wow the sand bar really has heavy vegitation now..
