hi, hey and how do you take off the gold from this strong magnet? is this not quit hard...? regards and thanks for shareing!

@InfraredUfoProject ---- The gold is not picked up by the magnet. It is the magnetite that is picked up. I put the magnet in a plastic container. Or, I put it in a heavy plastic baggie. Once you remove the magnet away from the plastic--the magnetite drops off..

If you remove the heavy magnetite, it is easier to separate the blonds (sand). The magnetite is iron and forms black sand. It is easier to separate the gold when the heavy black sand is removed with the magnet.
