Nice vintage Pioneer system...I remember seeing those and other systems simular at the old department stores that no longer exist now, {woolco,montgomery wards,globe} to name a few...Sure miss the old floor speakers with 12',15" woofers...Music had so much "warmth" back in those days with those systems..I listened to a lot of vinyl in those days and still do..Vinyl back in the old days had more "clarity" then cassette tapes back in the 1970's.I later got JBL speakers to have that concert sound.
Only 2 things seem to deteriorate of this over time: The Turntable and cassette belts also the Woofer centering foams. Looks to me to be well cared for and maintained. I have 2 favorite brands: Sony and Pioneer for this very reason. Much thought into the design.
ive got an 80s pioneer dcz83 with a linn turntable and my vast vinyl collection gets played everyday im 21 and most of my records and my hi fi are older than me! they dont make em like they used to modern chinese stuff couldent last 25 years!

Let's see...CT-9R tape deck, PL-L800 turntable, A-9 amp, SG-9 equalizer, F-9 tuner. I think that's right. Top line stuff. I own an A-7 and an F-9 myself.
got a pair of hpm 1500's also. cool speakers but I think I need the cross overs looked at. the highs are very fatiguing. (piercing) I'm sure that they couldnt have been engineered to sound that bright! probalby needs some caps replaced.
Very nice. I run a A-7 myself, fantastic amplifier.
