  • is this jingle still running?

  • @kerriayling only on the uncle pete's toys website.... i can't post the link in the room, but you can find it if you do a google search.

  • oh yeah... and my oldest running jingle, i sang tip top (good on you mum) with Lucky Star when I was four years old... I'm 42 now lol... :)

  • @kerriayling Great!!! So they don't just any kids to sing these jingles?

  • yep... my parents wrote it. that and about ten thousand others... I also sang on the playschool theme... and african lion safari.... stacks of others. child star lol :)

  • @kerriayling at least you've come out of it normal! lol

  • LOL that's me singing when I was a kid!

  • @kerriayling i think every aussie in my generation knows this jingle!

  • they had a f*ck off range of fireworks.

  • Wow, what a blast from the past. I loved Uncle Petes, and their ads always featured members of Pete's real life family, mucking about and falling out of boats and stuff. You wouldn't happen to have any more of these classic toy store ads floating around would you? Uncle Petes or Toyworld - anything would be great :)

  • I went to primary school near the st leonards store and I remember you were considered quite the thief if you could rip something off from uncle petes. LOL

  • what a rip off for that computer thing, $75 dollars! shit in 1984 that would have been the same as a couple of hundred dollars

  • Uncle Pete's Toys are rip Off!!!

  • always was a rip off! Remember st leonards????

  • wow - i remember uncle pete's toys at st leonards! i went there when i was a kid and the prices were fully jacked up, but the range of toys was amazing.

and the end tag "uncle pete's toys are magic" my friends in school changed to "uncle pete's toys are tragic" ... sort of a pre-cursor to emo, 20 years too early ...

  • there is a couple of stores around i know theres one at Tuggerah and they still use the same slogan

  • I only see these on regional TV now.
