Then when the deer donater found out he dragged the Game Warden out of the local diner at lunch and beat him to a pulp. I think they should start shooting thugs and dope heads. Shoot a man for trying to feed his kids through winter because the weather has his job shut down? Is that really fair? Sometimes things aren't black and white.......

I was hunting and found 4 sets (16 legs) of deer laying in the woods. Gut piles on the ground off season is nothing new here. If you get caught, the fines are huge, and you are barred from hunting.

@daddysgirl3471 Poaching is when someone kills an animal illegally or improperly, there are many different reasons......too young, the wrong sex, out of season, a protected species, hunting at night when not allowed, or with a weapon they're not allowed to hunt with. And theres probably more wrong ways to hunt I just don't know or cant think of.

this is for jurassicsushi and others on here let me clear this up in ky if u use a spotlight at all you will go to jail because it gives u an advantage you can hunt 30 minutes before daylight and 30 minutes after sundown but you cant shoot you use that to track and to get to your spot.also you can not spotlight even if its your own farm or if u lease it . i hate poachers i have hunted all my life and have never and will never take a illigal shot because it will eventually ruin it for everyone

I have watched some hunting shows on tv and they sometimes go into dusk. So why is it illegal to hunt at night or spotlighting?

you can only hunt untill 30min after sunset. Hunting at night isnt allowed because its very easy and unsafe. You can drive around with a spotlight and see hundreds of animals. There is some animals that you can hunt at night like racoons and coyotes but not deer. You can also spotlight, just not with any weapons in Indiana. Not sure about other states

Nope thats not true. You can spotlight only NON-GAME animals, hogs are not considered "game" animals. By the law you are not allowed to go out for the sole intent of spotlighting deer for recreation. It is against the law in TX.

Spotlighting is legal here in Pennsylvania. Just not during hunting season and also WITHOUT a firearm in your vehicle. I just got back from spotlighting the mountain roads just a few minutes ago as a matter of fact. Saw a BIG bodied 6 point buck. Spotlighting by itself is not "bad" at all.

Oregon police are extremely strict on every wildlife violation and if you tip on any illegal shooting you get rewarded at least $250 on up to $50,000+ depending on the severity of the violation. I love the quick action of the police that catch the thieves that ruin the sport so many people love.
