  • such a great speaker and for him to remember his whole speach and give it walking around without notes

  • I'm sorry, but the sound in this is terribly compromised on my end of this video. Is it possible to repair or restore it? Thanks.

  • Okay, I love me some Alfie Kohn. But I disagree with the assertion at about 18:00 where he says that wanting to move our kids up on that list of rankings means we want students in other countries not to learn well. Improvements in American pedagogy would have no effect on the quality of education elsewhere; the goal is to do here what has been working elsewhere. The standards by which performance is judged elsewhere may be lacking, as they are here, but improving our standing is not zero sum.

  • damn! he has so many points that I agree with!!! the Government should listen to this and get rid of NCLB or modify it to make NCLB make schools better and not shut school down!

  • i shared this with my teachers. its interesting to see how their teaching styles changes. thanks for posting

  • The music is distracting. Why is it there? I couldn't watch it because of the music.

  • @redmenace2 the music goes for 25 seconds... have just a bit more patience... jeesh!
