In Mirrors Edge 2 they need open zone online and things like that, It would be cool to meet your friend in a part of the city, use your map to plan a route to maybe a challenge zone and play head to head in a time trail :D

i dont think its worth buying. too short. If you have an allright pc, 2 cores, nothing less than a 8800gts, you can run everything at medium with phsyx off, or else it crashes.
Played on a really crappy PC from 2004. Single-core HT Pentium4 2.8G, GeForce 6600, AGP, 512MB RAM. Ran choppy (~20fps), but playable at lowest resolutions like 640x480 or 800x600, needed unloading every piece of crap program before start. Actually looked extensively shaded, except for obviously too strong edge jaggies and sometimes disappearing shadows.
Some gf8600gt should actually be very well enough, i guess the last guy ran into some software-related trouble that shouldn't be happening.
My 8800 was purchased just a few months after it's launch. It's a great card but i guess after all that time running at 74 degrees idle, things might just stop working as they should've.
I played it on the xbox. It was a real ocol game with all the moves, and acrobats and what not but the combat is really crappy to me. And i couldnt tell you about the computer

I already completed this game a long time ago, but this makes we want to play it again! Very innovative and a bit overlooked game. I can't wait for part 2 and 3 (EA said the wanted to make it into a trilogy).
Hm.. I somewhat agree, but, Mirrors Edge provides no HUD, or health bar. It would be truly cool if there was a mode that allowed you to go around the ENTIRE city, no limits. I would be on the game 24/7. I think it would be so kick ass to climb to the top of the highest and jump off Assassin's creed style XD!
That would be too hard to make, actually. They have to design it circularly, so that there is no way you can get stuck after falling into an alley, for instance.
The only reason Assassin's Creed can make it open world is because they can easily duplicate all the buildings and nobody notices that 2 look alike. As for Mirror's Edge, ALL the buildings are unique. It would take LONGER than it took Fallout 3 to make an open world Mirror's Edge.
@chase1159 True, but even if an indie dev or even a dev team took a swing at it, they could replicate a city. If they just pointed their attention toward a real city, and started looking at all the buildings, it would be possible. But I agree about the Assassins Creed bit. All the "cities" look roughly the same :3. The only difference is the color scheme and the guards.

It just put stuff done before in a new perspective, even literally, and the planning and level design, the colorful enviroments, etc, it just really well executed.
It's a new look in stuff done alredy, and games now days miss this.
In a time where killing brainless enemies in a rain of blood without any real hardships is what is expected from a game, a litle change is always welcome.

the first time i saw the colour scheme i did just about nearly die of joy, this game is amazing in my opinion, lots of white and bright, simple textures makes the game look polished and nice, and surprisingly, professional.
Mirror's Edge is a fantastic concept and a great example of experimentation with new ideas, but unfortunately it does fall somewhat short with a terse plotline and overall a short game that's technically finishable in a day once you have the technique of the moves down, which in itself takes some time to master after falling off 329057209572097520975 buildings and plummeting to your death. XD
I completely agree, i completed this game in about 7 hours ours overall.. I've heard this game is first of a trilogy though, so lets hope the other two are longer =]..
its a nice change but thats till you get held up at a 2 ft wall and dodgey collision detection which gets you mown down by the police for the 20th time it does get a bit annoying after a while

u can die when u fall off a skyscraper or into the water etc... or if ur enemys kill u with their weapons or fight to u with theri hands and feet.

Mirror's Edge didn't do anything TOOOOOTALLY new.
It just put stuff done before in a new perspective, even literally, and the planning and level design, the colorful enviroments, etc, it just really well executed.
It's a new look in stuff done alredy, and games now days miss this.
In a time where killing brainless enemies in a rain of blood without any real hardships is what is expected from a game, a litle change is always welcome.

yeah its what makes some old gen games better then new gen ones--example-zelda majoras mask i feel had more puzzles and fun while the new zelda is packed with useless crap and no real puzzles

i have the club3d 4870
but my pc got really slow, in the part of the game where alot of actions happen like in the video
in get one screen every second in the scene in the video
is this because my videocard is defect/broken
or because of my processor(dualcore2 2.13)
i have other issues with my card too, like flickering in I.E and sometimes in videos
and sometimes my screen appears/looks like its drunk

the first time i saw the colour scheme i did just about nearly die of joy, this game is amazing in my opinion, lots of white and bright, simple textures makes the game look polished and nice, and surprisingly, professional.

Mirror's Edge is a fantastic concept and a great example of experimentation with new ideas, but unfortunately it does fall somewhat short with a terse plotline and overall a short game that's technically finishable in a day once you have the technique of the moves down, which in itself takes some time to master after falling off 329057209572097520975 buildings and plummeting to your death. XD

I completely agree, i completed this game in about 7 hours ours overall.. I've heard this game is first of a trilogy though, so lets hope the other two are longer =]..

its a nice change but thats till you get held up at a 2 ft wall and dodgey collision detection which gets you mown down by the police for the 20th time it does get a bit annoying after a while
