ok..just beginning and completely overwhelming myself..have yet to touch my double bass, who I have called, "Lady" She will be with me tomorrow on Saturday. Am very excited about getting this beautiful instrument..It makes me feel hearing the depth of the bass. A particularly moving track I have found from a soundtrack with celtic violins and the deep murmuring of the bass is just so soulful!! It makes me feel, cry and dance..wanting to stretch my arms and fingers beyond the floor!!!

U almost never use your third finger in bass especially in half and first position

A V7 should not have a minor 3 or minor 6 in it when walking a line like that; chromaticism is great but it doesn't mean anything goes, ( a flat 9 would have been a better choice if you just HAD to have chromatic notes in there). What you played was more of a minor i - iv in the key of F# than a ii - V7 in E major. Another failed attempt by our little friend with the exaggerated endpin.
