@pyaldini it is easy paddle-in on a 10 foot board yes. if you have ever done a tow-in thou, you would understand how nice it is not to have to paddle late to catch a wave and risk just flee dropping to the trough of the wave

Not always true, 11ft swell was comming in on my local break, but we had offshore winds, so i waited and waited for the winds to die so i could surf it, when they stopped we had a perfect clean 6ft shore break, yummy!

Yeh wind ain't got a great deal to do with it, its all about the swell, on a windy day the surf is just messy!

Yo grab yur knees and get ready for 30 sec to a minute of thrashing around in the washing machine. Not time to panic, just hold yur breathe, don't fight it till it lets up, then head for the surface and hope there's a jet ski near to rescue you and no bigger sets out the back.
