I hated the normal petrol 2.4l 4-cylinder. Not enough power for the size car. Fuel economy was also poor. Let's see if they release the hybrid in SA, maybe it will be better, but i doubt so....

You can get up to 40mpg highway, but did you really when testing it? And Hyundai isn't the only "blue" auto maker. I'm pretty sure Mercedes and Volkswagen both use "blue" in eco-branded cars.

Yeah, it's a pretty car. But it SUCKS. The transition from gasoline to electric is extremely jerky, the steering is HORRIBLE and the brakes should be recalled they are so uneven. Good job to the new girl though. I'd take a Ford Fusion over this anyday.

Great car, with interesting styling at least not as bland and 'meh' as past hyundais. Bit expensive for a Hyundai at $31k, even with all the added stuff. Its getting dangerously close to an Audi A4.

That (new?) Kreft chick is very easy on the eye and a good journalist, but methinks she needs to vary her voice- a bit of monotone creeps in on long dialogues. Oh, and Emme Hall has set the bar high for all Roadfly reporters, so it'd be a good idea for Kreft to get her own signature touch.

Fantastic review, love the new reviewer not liking the flying carp styling of the Hybrid Sonata. The rest of the Hyundai cars look great....not sure what happened in the styling department on this one. I'm also not a fan of Hybrids in general as I've mentioned on other videos about Hybrids. They don't save the environment like everyone thinks. Saving the environment requires more than a few MPG better than normal fuel efficient. You truly want to save the environment buy a fuel cell car!

i get better mileage with my 09 honda fit. I can do 30-35 city and 45 highway with a little effort. Its a 1.3 ivtec with a cvt. I often wonder why you guys dont get that configuration in the united states. And dont get me started on diesels. A small displacement turbo diesel would eat my car.
