I'd have to see that to believe it...for now I'll call BS. Driven right this thing will run 12's. Its tricky with the 6 speed and racing clutch and its hard to keep the tires from smoking in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. For the One Lap it was 350whp...its closer to 450whp now.
No, its a company-owned, company-sponsored project. Although I would gladly drive it daily. Its insanely fun and the look you get going down the road are priceless.
I doubt a pilot would handle quite as well as the van, but it would be pretty fun if you left the stock appearance. No one would expect a Pilot to have that kind of power.
I'm not sure what kind of off-roading you would want to do, but without low range, the Pilot is a bit limited on rougher trails. It does have pretty good ground clearance and approach/departure angles, though, and the extra power can't hurt. If you do decide to install a turbo and manual gearbox, please post some videos. It would be cool to see how it works out.
