Why do you need to attach an additional wire to the extension cord? Couldn't you just strip the plastic off the cord far enough back to wrap the wire around the toe, or make a loop to stand on?
I'm thinking I could do this in seconds. Grab the cord, and break of the prongs. Get the wire strippers, and strip back the covering six inches, tie the wire around my toe and plug it in. Total elapsed time including going to the drawer for tools is less than 5 minutes.
@jelquer Yes that is right! it is indeed that simple. However, i would still recommend the part in contact with your skin would be stainless or silver and not copper... over the long run it will be better. Also, it is more convenient to have a small "plate" that gets in contact with K1 at the bottom of the foot, then you dont even have to put anything around your toes etc. for sleeping though thats a good idea, although silver socks are the best for this application also! Good luck!
@scotttheartist you can look at your home depot or similar shops... if you like to do it on the cheap, like me, here is what i recommend : simply get a steel Screw Hook , then take a normal electrical wire, remove the plastic atleast 12inches off, turn it around the upper part of the screw hook, and get the hook in the ground! i tested it, and it works perfectly well! absolutely no need for 'official' grounding rods... good luck!
also never put your body between a grounding mat and electric fields that are close in vicinity as this will attract them to you. less emf agreed with the german paper i sent them but don't seem to inform people because i think it makes some of their devices potentially harmfull. there's also a better way to do this but it might be worth summat! peace
better to use a seperate grounding rod too i think coz the 60 hz frequency electrical wiring produces is not that healthy though probably better than no grounding at all if you can't. oh yeah there is a german research paper showing clearly how some grounding can actually increase your interaction with electric fields. for instance if your using a pc, ground your wrist and/or the pc to save grounding it yourself through your whole body. great vids!
Am new to all this..I live in condo built in 70's - normally would think my electrical is grounded. But have smart meter assigned to my unit, that is using my electrical wiring as an antenna for its radiation potential (also have 8 smart meters installed a few feet away); now I think there's dirty electricity from my outlets (I use AM radio off-station that broadcasts the static). SO - I don't want to 'ground' to the outlet - wouldn't I be getting effects from the dirty electricity? THANK YOU.
@litestreamer I suggest you ground yourself right from the ground then! using a rod! and be aware that the opinions are divided about dirty electricity... if they are coming up the ground to 'zap' you or if you still get protected even tho there is dirty electricity running through the walls... you already get zapped if you are close to it, as you determined with the AM radio! using Stetzer Filters works really well to lower greatly dirty E , but are expensive... i got them here. Good luck ! =)
@missmoxieloksee Hello Miss Flo, I experienced better sleep, reductino from EMFs symptoms (such as irritability and brainfog). been doing it on and off for about 3years. i do not sleep regularly with the grounded socks, as i use muscle testing to determine exactly how much and when i should be grounded. Personally , it turns out that i should not be grounded for more than 5 hours during the night... and being grounded during the day is all well and good, as much as is convenient.
Hi again Max, I noticed at lessetf website the following item: :inline fuse holder" for $5. Is this what you referred to as "safety resisitor"? Will it save from lightening strike?
Can you please tell me how to insert this fuse along the wire.
@prakashatgmail Hello! sorry for the late reply i missed your comment! No the fuse isnt what i am referring to. What i am referring to is a 1 MegOhm resistor that should be pretty cheap. However i havent done it myself so i do not know exactly how you would go about integrating it into the wire ... Good luck with this!!
Thanks Max. Great work. I am wondering if you can let me know how can I instal safety resistor in the grounding cord. I cannot afford to buy those bedding sheets from lessemf.com for sleeping grounded. I feel scared of sleeping grounded without safety resisitor. In Ontario Canada thunder can begin suddenly.
My dear! thx for sharing this great informtion! Please, i live in Austria,Vienna/Europe where we have different voltage system - do you have informations for me how i can do you technique on the europeanvoltage system 220V?
Thanks for your answers and keep up doing your good work,
@apossegger the voltage really doesn't matter, because it doesn't go through the electrical system... it just uses the GROUND. i suggest you talk with someone knowledgeable in your area about grounding systems and how you can use it to ground yourself
@VideoScenario Ground fault interrupters are designed to protect from electrical shock by interrupting a household circuit when there is a difference in the currents in the "hot" and neutral wires. Such a difference indicates that an abnormal diversion of current from the "hot" wire is occuring. Such a current might be flowing in the ground wire, such as a leakage current from a motor or from capacitors.
I wonder how the electronic engineers came up with the 1 or 2 megOhm resistor figure? Ohm's Law: R = V/I ... Seems to me that we would need a value that represents a tolerable default amount of bodily voltage... maybe 9V (that is the size of the battery used in my T-Rex Zapper- I can put the terminals up to my mouth w/o getting electrocuted. Then, Amps = 10AU(30A Circuit) the size of my grounding wire. If I put those figures together, this is what I get: R= 9V/30A= .3 I'm confused... hmmm
@enzymeluv the above is a quote I got off a website... If the author's claims are true, then this could imply that GFCI switch may not trip, as the ground wire is the only wire that is connected to it. Though, I don't know... If a simple GFCI receptacle could be used, then that would simplify things.
@enzymeluv 3M makes an assortment of static grounding devices with integrative resistors. Google the keywords, 3M™ Ground Cords. I'd post the URL, but for some odd reason youtube does not allow that.
If you are looking for the resistor try to find a computer grounding system for an EMF blast. There are two companies that make EMF protectors. Try typing EMF radiation and you should find the resistor. As to this video it is so cool. The big companies have already made products to do this but it is out of my price range. This video helps. One could get a grounding strap for working on a computer and put it on your wrist. This is so cool though.

Why would the not just disconnect the wires that went to the two power prongs, and leave the wire to the grounding prong, so it wouldn't shock you? Is there still power going through it then?
@Zenfood1 it does not make sense that you would want to put the resistor on a random wire. 3/M corporation integrates the resistor right into the main static grounding cord's connector.
from my experience your body voltage will be less changed by all the EMFs if you live in a basement. but not totally, so in short its better in a basement than on the first or second floor of a building, but still you aren't totally grounded (usually), so you can use a wire.. if you live in a basement i recommend you use a wire coming from your window with some metal rod in the earth... better than using the pong ground. this way you avoid any chances of dirty electricity...

Hi Max
What kind of health benefits have you personally experienced from grounding?
How many months have you been doing this?
Do you regularly sleep with your special grounded sock?
Thank you,
Miss Flo
