Today for some reason my husband brought home flowers for me and kissed me he looked at me like he use to for the first time in a long time if you read my earlier posts, but maybe today will be a new beginning for us♥ so happy
i am 60 and my husband is 63 i have loved him since i was 24 and now even though we live in the same house we are living seperate lives, so sad the silence that we share, my time here on earth is limited but i cant tell him because i i just cant say goodbye♥
@chopitshop ---your comment made me feel sad. Ignore my username for a sec....don't give up hope. Perhaps take some time apart or seek counsel from trusted third parties. Your love for each other has sustained the both of you for all these years. Yes, people change and sometimes there is going to be friction. But good love is hard to find and that is why you must try to salvage what you have both built together. Hang in there.
@chopitshop that is so sad it made me take a sharp in take of breath, bless you what can i say? I know it was 3 months ago when you posted this,i only hope that some how in that short space of time you have managed to sort something out? im always amazed when i see couples out and they never speak,i mean whats the point? life is so short if your not happy then its time to say goodbye hard though it will be you know in your heart of hearts that once its done you can both move on,:)
I've got a video on my page called "Come Back To Me". It's a song I wrote about a my sister. I'd like to share it. You can go to my page and watch it.
this is a stephen bishop song... he mentioned the exact words "you have no right to ask me how i feel" was really his exact reply to his "eX", when she suddenly phoned him.
but i always feel phil's version to be more authentic.
@Almostmini Marilyn Martin sings the duet, but Stevie Nicks also provided some backup vocals on the song. Marilyn used to sing backup to Stevie on her solo tours.
Hellen Mirren, amazing actress in White Nights. The love Mikhail's character left behind. She's now in The Tempest, don't miss it. Was recently in RED. So great to witness such a great actress be the best throughout the years. And bring you to tears and move you. Sort of like Cate Blanchett, but of course, no comparison. They are both great.
I have a question to all those on this comment board who've had traumatic break-ups.....do you find yourself re-connecting with your past loves on Facebook and has it made things better for you or opened up old wounds?
Do your past loves want to re-connect with you?
Has re-connecting adversely affected your current relationships?
I'm just curious what the Facebook effect has been on people.
@DestroyerofSouls666 - I have been happily married for 20 years and yes, I have reconnected with some of my past loves, but more in the spirit of "how are you doing these days." I also approach them with the idea that we are both different people now that have moved on to other things and people, and that hopefully we are better people ourselves. There may have been some bitter feelings, but hopefully, our association with past loves make us appreciate better the current love we have.
@shooster11 --Thank you so much for replying. Wow, your comment is well-stated and emanates a profound maturity that certain adults out there (including perhaps myself at times) lack. I don't know whether you are male or female, but your spouse is a lucky person to have you. Bravo and a long, happy future for you! Thanks again.
You don't have the right to treat me kind, not now. I thought I'd forgive you, and love you forever. I can't. You slashed me wide open and give my feeling to the world to laugh at...... No, never again.
when I hear the words, "You have no right... to ask me....how i feel... you have no right...." I lose it, cause I feel the sorrow, the loss, hopelessness and I have to hear this once again. It reminds me of breaking up, and seeing that person again, and they open the wound that barely healed and never will, and this is the response...
you Guys said it, Phil is one of the Best Vocalist and his voice trancends time. He has Great control and awesome pitch. The man is an awesome Vocalist.
That's one of my favorite duets of the 80's, Marylin Martin with the great Phil Collins. The song made it the # 4 in U.K and top the U.S Billboard Charts late in 1985.
Thank you soooo much for posting, certain circumstances (unfortunately) got me thinking of this song again...then heard it today on Music Choice. Beautifully written and performed, one of the best duets of its day.
YOU HAVE NO RIGHT..., TO ASK ME HOW I FEEL, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SPEAK TO ME SO KIND.. O.M.G.. Strong word indeed...

I don't think I have EVER heard a lyric that held so much power, love, sorrow, turmoil, reminiscent memories all in one."
A true work of art this song is.
