Nuno Bettencourt definitely plays the rhythm guitar on this version as well as some very tasty fills. The actual solo does not sound like him, his style or his tone at all and I do not think it is him. Nuno has a grittier solo sound with more technique. The clean guitar before and after the solo and the small rhythm guitar snip right after the solo do not sound like Nuno either.
She is 1 of my favorites. This is my favorite song out of all the ones she has done. She is a very talented artist. I hope she never retires, the world would be lost without her. Janet and her brothers, I don't know what the music world would do without them.
Dave Barry is credited with playing 6 & 12 string guitars on the original album version. Other guitars are credited to Jesse Johnson, John McClain and Jellybean Johnson.
The Japanese CD Black Cat the remixes lists Nuno Bettencourt as providing additional rhyhthm guitars on this version.
This is my favorite version of this song

FYI..Nuno played "half" of the solo. The other half was played by the writer Jellybean Johnson of The Time.

Janet would make an adorable, beautiful, sexy, good rocker.

That's definitely Nuno on rhythm and the solo!

Just wanted to add that I read that Jesse Johnson, of The Time, apparently plays the second half of the guitar solo on this. It sounds like him too.

This song kicks SO much ass! Very surprising for it to be coming from Miss Janet. LOVE the Vernon Reid guitar solo!

I thought the solo was played by David Barry...some people think that Nunno Bettencourt played it, i dont think so...anyway, the solo is GREAT

That's Nuno Bettencourt on the solo. The version with David Barry doesn't have the panther roar in the beginning of the song.
This is AWESOME solo!
