"The Edge" type riffs , so very cool to be diggin this back in the day. the album on a whole has special meaning to me , one of the few i owned at the time I was listening to this. was in the military and only had room in my back pack for a few cassetes. had a girlfriend back home and like the sad tail of so many soldiers recieving a "dear john" letter this song eased my broken heart .
One thing about the Outfield they are the (Perfect) sound of the Beatles/U2 and Yes combined with the vocals of Journey.. I subcribed to the outfield newsletter and will order the new 2011 album CD.. do the same!!
I have not heard this song at any time, any where, since I would guess 1993. Thank you so much for posting it. One of the lesser known tracks of this underrated album by one of the greatest power pop bands to ever play.
By far the best song from this album...very underrated tune. The Outfield musical methodology is so simple and straight forward yet they're amazingly strong, catchy and memorable songs IMHO.
im so glad that i don't need her..
